which System are you excited about for 2009 & 2010, 360 or PS3?

I'm really starting to feel like the 360 is old. I don't see any 360 games to get excited about. However, there's plenty on PS3 to get excited about such as Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, Gow3, GT5, and many, many more PS3 exclusives. With alot of 360 gamers having this feeling the worst thing Microsoft can do is keep there lineup hid this year.

The Wii all the way.... oh wait, you said 360 and PS3.... Well then in that case the 360 since the PS3 offers nothing that has my interest beyond Heavy Rain, but I won't drop that kind of money for a console and one game.

I'm sure hype will pick up after E3 when Microsoft finally sits down and lays it all out cause ya know when Microsoft announces something its out typically within a year. Sony's 2009 lineup has been pretty much laid out for a few years now, Killzone 2 doesn't interest me in least, it looks like another run of the mill shooter. God of War has never really caught my attention, played abit of the first and could have cared less. Gran Turismo 5 doesn't have my interest either, after playing through 3 games I got tired of starting over between each game and after seeing the developer spend so much time on Prolouge and ya know... not the actual game, I had enough especially since we are still waiting on actual car damage. Uncharted looks alright, but I was never big on Tomb Raider so I doubt this one would hold me for long. The list kinda goes on like that, most games that interest me are multiplatform and I already own a 360, so it works out pretty well.

PS3 for both 2009 and 2010.

Xbox 360 by miles, like in 2007-2008, both PS3 and Wii have 3-4 games i am interested in, i bought 35+ xbox 360 games in 2007-2008 and 3-4 on PS3 and 1-2 on Wii

Same i plan to get 28+ games on 360from the below list in 2009 and 2-3 on PS3 and 1 on Wii

The difference for me is really huge, 99% of my gaming time is going to 360 and will be same in 2009

Strange, 360 does not loose it for me, in fact after the dissapointment of both White Knight and Demon Soul on PS3, is the only system that can possibly cover my RPG needs with amazing titles and a vast number of them

I don't see much to get excited about on 360. I see plenty to get excited about on PS3. Also looking forward to mad world on wii, looks pretty cool.

Luckily my brother in law has a 360 so if anything good comes out i can check it out. Till then, KZ2 is going to be some sweet multiplayer mayhem.

Ok, I need some help here, exact;y what are we to look forward to here, I've been trailing through the game sites doing my own research and I really cant find another game to buy for the 360!! I'm starting to belive the ps3 is taking over now, all xbox seems to have is a load of RPG's comming out, if im ever in rpg mode I play warcraft and recently fallout 3. Please inform me if im wrong but I like games like Gears of war 2, forza 2, COD, tombraider esc games, fps and 3rd person shooters (basically immersive fun and casual games you can play with friends).

It's funny how 360 fanboys use this "year of the PS3" mockery to hide the fact that they're looking towards a year of poor to mediocre line-up.

I'd be willing to bet money that anybody who says 360 doesn't even really know all the exclusives coming out for the PS3 (besides the big titles). I mean we all know about Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain, God of War III, and Killzone 2. But there are PS3 exclusives like Quantum Theory and Demon Soul which if they were 360 exclusives all the 360 fanboys would be drooling all over them but since the PS3 has so many promising exclusives they get lost in the mix. I mean I already named a bunch of games now add the Ratchet & Clank sequel that comes out this holiday season, add MAG (the true SOCOM sequel), add White Knight Chronicles, Infamous, Yakuza 3, WarDevil, the new Team Ico, Gran Turismo, and some very promising PSN games like Fat Princess, Noby Noby boy, Flower, etc. The 360 definitely has some promising stuff but there is no way that the upcoming 360 games can top that list. Hell I could even pad that list more with games that are in the Alan Wake territory of "we don't know much about them" such as: L.A. Noire, Metro 2033, The Agency, David Jaffe's project that he is currently working on, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, etc. It really is mind boggling how much promising exclusive content the PS3 has coming out for it in the next 2 years.

Is killzone in the same vain as halo? Not graphically at least! Halo looks so cheap it hurts. I cant stand the halo series, it feels so ripped off and unimaginitive if killzone is like this forget it. Playing Halo 3 for me was a boring experience. (sorry to go off topic)

I know exactly what is coming to PS3, it has only one major game for me, FF13vs, as exclusive and maybe GOW3 too that looks epic, but is too much on rails as it seems, which i hate. Demon Soul is another title i may consider

FF13vs is a nice game, but Star Ocean 4 and FF13 are my priorities in JRPG's this generation

360 has Fable 2, Mass Effect 1-2, Lost Odyssey, Tales, Too Human, Two Worlds temptation, Divinity 2, Venetica, Dungeon Hero, Precursors, Alan Wake, Kingdom Under Fire 2: Dominion, Star Ocean 4, Fallout 3 expansions

So, for me that like RPG's and mainly WRPG's, and games with huge open worlds, 360 is the only system that matters

I do not care for shooters at all (besides Aliens CM and AVP), so Killzone 2, Uncharted, Gears 2 etc are totally indifferent to me

BTW both PS3 games i wanted in 2009, White Knight and Demon Soul, are the worst scoring next gen JRPG's, i will buy7 Demon Soul, and may rent White Knight, but you have to understand 99% of my gaming time will be going to xbox 360 RPG's

I suppose I should explain myself. It's not that I don't think PS3 has anything down the pipeline... if anything Sony has absolutely stunning titles on the way. But see here's the problem. We've heard this the past 3-4 years. In 2006 the PS3 was suppose to launch and bury the 360! BURY IT!!! Then 2007 was the year of the PS3, 2008 the year of PS3, and now all of a sudden 2009 is the year PS3 is taking over. I'm getting word that folks are already claiming 2010 looks to be even better for cows.

You see how one can suffer dejavu here? Frankly it's getting tiresome. MGS4 scored a solid 10 here and respectfully so. The PS3 has ramped it's PSN service and exclusives are starting to break free. But so far sales aren't anything to get excited about (actually going backwards the past months) and as usual cows can't wait for announcements from M$ (whom delivers something great every year).

So yes, I will agree that EVENTUALLY PS3 will have it's year and possibly pull ahead. So far it's only been a pipedream for Sony.. hey just going by statitics here as a former PS2 fan. You can counter my arguement all day long about how the gap is narrowing and by x amount of years the PS3 will be ahead. By then, surely M$ will launch another console? I dunno just a guess. I think cows put to much emphasis on the future, that's all. I'm sure you'll be rewarded, but until then let's not knock the 360 UNTIL they lay their cards down (for this year). 2009 has just begun.

In 2009 I will be mainly playing SFIV on my 360, so that's pretty much a right off for all other games, those there are a few I'll pick up.

All I see for the PS3 is 3-4 games, and whilst I'm tempted to get a PS3, nothing puts me over the edge and makes me part with my money.

I plan to buy a windows 7 PC in 2010, so hopefully more games will interest me other than Crysis by then.
