Poll Which retro system should Nintendo prioritize next for the Switch? (27 votes)

N64 (Mario 64/OoT/Star Fox 64) 22%
GameCube (Metroid Prime/Wind Waker/Mario Sunshine) 44%
Wii (Super Mario Galaxy/Twilight Princess) 4%
GB/GBA (FE: Sacred Stones and all those GBA games they gave 3DS owners) 11%
Focus more on adding NES/SNES games more often 15%
None I'd prefer remaster/remake over old games 4%

Which retro game system should Nintendo focus on next for the switch online?

Right now Nintendo is missing out on a lot of past games something the Wii virtual console had a lot more of and shouldn't be hard to get these games running on the switch.

They need to expand the NES SNES library faster, but I do want N64 and GC on there before too long.

If they brought Gamecube games to Switch, I think I'd cry...

Doesn't matter to me, I won't buy my games digitally on their systems anymore, not until they learn to honor rights for previous purchases between systems.

GB/GBA (FE: Sacred Stones and all those GBA games they gave 3DS owners) and I only say this because Golden Sun series needs to make a smashing return on the Switch.

Purchasing anything digital from Nintendo in its current state is a bad bid.

On the topic of full-on remakes, I wonder if it'd be feasible for Nintendo to hire the guys that made Rise of the Triad to remake Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.

That ship have probably sailed. I don't expect Nintendo to do anything cool VC wise for the rest of the Switch's life. Come on, it's been out for 3 years, and all they've done is give us a few NES and SNES games.

Not letting their fans give them money to play their old games while actively trying to block said fans from getting the games by other means. Classic Nintendo.

You wouldn't get the ones you'd want anyway.

Their NES and SNES offerings have been crap. And that's putting it politely.

@flashn00b: They've already made remakes of those for 3DS. Knowing Nintendo, it'll probably take them 5-10 years before remaking those again, if at all.

What do you mean? For SNES alone we have a lot of the main classics... mostly the Nintendo-made ones I admit. But why would Gamecube be any different?

I suppose you have a point, but if you look at how Slipgate Ironworks approached Rise of the Triad, I feel like they'd probably be one of the better studios to be trusted with classic remakes either way. They're apparently also doing a remaster of Interplay's Kingpin

I want to see them put more SNES games on the Switch. There are sooooooo many great games that could put on there from that system. It would require agreements from third parties though for a lot of them though.
