Lets give the big 3 a break. There going through tough times so lets hate on ea,activision and capcom.

In your opinion which is the worst/worse?

Here are some negatives about each.

images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQP_dQfHhuuIsAAzzE9-xp

  • Puts an online pass in just about every game.
  • Money greedy (battlefield 3 dlc 11 pounds).
  • Release incomplete games and complete them with dlc (mass effect endings)
  • Fifa 12 servers are bad
  • allow battlefield 3 players to buy servers for extra money.
  • early server closings (fifa 10)
  • Day 1 dlc
  • releseing battlefield in 2 year cycles now

images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTpjhSGiaEcz3WT31pYg6F

  • Inclomplete games (mvc3 vanila etc.)
  • They never listhen to the fan base (umvc 3 marvel charachters:no venom,no psylock etc.)
  • They mess around with mega man (they tease him in umvc 3 xmen stage, they put him in an ending, zero megaman outfit, frank west megaman outfit, zero megaman outfit)
  • They put a fat megaman in sf x tekken
  • they dont put guest charachters on the xbox version of sf x tekken
  • asuras wrath is a bigger movie then uncharted
  • They release multiple versions of the incomplete games (umvc3,super street fighter arcade edition)
  • cancelled mega man legends 3

images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSxCZQRyS3jF_xdB0okXEW

  • Yearly releses
  • catering to the casuals now
  • gets part of the xbox live fee
  • Expensive dlc
  • Ruined spyro

Cant think of anymore for activision

Had the same issue, contacted them and everything was solved within a few hours. I do have to say to TC, your post has made me feel stupider just by reading it. Your lack of spell check makes me cringe. Your petty excuses as to why their customer service? is bad is inane, and honestly makes you sound like someone who is hating the companies just to seem popular. My legal team will contact you shortly for repayment for the time I took to read that babble. Thanks, and have a nice day.

Due to the new topic title I will change my answer to EA. Activision really isn't that bad. If you ignore CoD they pretty much cease to exist. EA tries to get their filthy hands on everything. EA is also responsible for the online pass BS. Activision still hasn't implemented that whereas several other publishers have.

EA. Activision is greedy, but at least you know what to expect, and they haven't ruined great series like Mass Effect and Battlefield.

1:capcon.

on disc DLC then charge you more? wtf?

2:EA

I cant really blame Ea for onlines pass nor any company because personally i be kinda mad if my game i paid to have made sold only 1 million but i can see 4-5 million? BUT what i hate is these passes is only good for one account. consoles are a household item used by the familiy. Not just one person is on the console.

3:

the only think i dislike about them is

1: part of xbl fees then again i never pay more then half for gold

2: horrible support for mw2. idk if that whole deal with those 2 guys and other x amount of devs left most likely killed that part.

BUT activision does a decent job.

There map packs may be 15 bucks for 5 maps BUT think about. it's a better deal then 3 for 10.... if you look at it tht way it is cheaper per map

yearly release of cod. well thats well plan bussiness staigity that is paying off big time. with that it's not like the games are receiving any less dev time as other games. there is two dev studios and each one gets 2 years make. Then plus now they have sledge hammer to. it would be nice to see it be turned into a 3 year but etheir way most games out their only go though a 2 year dev cycyel.

But the fans want it - why would they change up the core gameplay that much if it's selling tens of millions? That doesn't make much sense.

God they're all so bad (especially EA and Activision). I want to pick Activision for ruining the gem that was Spyro. But I'm going with EA. They do the same crimes as Activision (yearly releases, DLC) and much much more.

So explain to me how more than 1 million could be playing a game that only sold 1 million copies that doesnt have an Online Pass?

Obviously you can only have as many people playing as there were sales, Online Pass or not.

Capcom is the most greedy imo. The other 2 arent much better

Capcom isnt exactly the worst, for a time period they kept screwing up with updates, new versions and stuff but atleast they gave in and apologized for it and will HOPEFULLY stop it.

Im still mad at them for no AAI2 though

Anyway Activision, because Capcom and EA still release really good games while Activision has maybe one or two.

Games with day 1 on-disk DLCs, reiterations of fighting games with disconnect compatibility, sub-par HD collections, every classic title conceivable up as digital cash grabs, taking the axe to Mega Man due to lack of widespread support.

I think that's enough hints.

I gotta go with EA. I love the games they put out, but they manage the budgets horribly (Dead Space 3 needs to sell 4 million to break even? Really?), have terrible marketing that appeals to the lowest common denominator (the fake DI protests nobody cared about and forcing the Battlefield vs CoD issue instead of marketing the game on its own merits), and they put out a ton of overpriced DLC, always by the first day of release, always with some of it already unlocked on disc.

Capcom, seriously

in disc DLC, overpriced DLC and several versions of the same game (Street Fighter IV, Super Street Fighter IV, Super street fighter IV Arcade Edition / Marvel vs Capcom 3, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 / Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil 5 Golden) are resons enough

Capcom has been disgusting me through all this gen. Such a disappointment... just thinking they were once my fav devs... tsk tsk

I should say Activision, they have nothing now that interests me and they went to great lengths to take the MW IP away from Infinity Ward's West and Zampella, they ruined Guitar Hero and the COD IP probably won't sustain much longer without a talented developer to overhaul the game engine for next generation. Plus they set a precedent with expensive DLC and now all the other publishers want a piece of that action. I don't think Capcom is "evil", just stupid sometimes. About the only thing I don't think is right is how they re-release SF games, not that I care for them anymore, but at this point I won't blame them if they keep that up because consumers are aware of this established practice and shouldn't act blindsided when it happens. They've disappointed me greatly though this gen by cancelling a Darkwatch sequel, probably my favorite FPS of last gen for consoles, and making the next Okami game for the DS instead of making a game that would have great potential on the Xbox 360 or PS3. But I'm going with EA, their evil is in their evil genius, making fun games I can't stop buying, those sly devils.

I choose all 3.

Electronic Farts for ridiculous online pass, most of all.

Crapcom for Disc-locked-content.

And Activision(couldn't think of name lolz) and their 15 dollar map packs can go f*ck themselves.

I would pick MS as they charge to play online, then in 2009 they decided to drop core and go 99% casual to chase the Wii's pot of gold. If i had to pick from the list I guess I would pick Activision after what they did with guitar Hero and are doing with COD.
