When will u be jumping into next gen?

I already have a WiiU and I won't be buying any of the other next gen consoles until 2015 most likely. The PS4 costs way to much in Canada and a lot of the games released for the console don't appeal to me.IThe xbox one is a bit cheaper than the PS4 in canada, but I'm waiting for more games to release for it.

The Rare games looked stunning. TDU looked pretty good. The PC ports were actually as good as the PC versions at the time. Even the worst games looked better than the original Xbox games.

The 360 GPU has 48 unified shader pipelines.

A lot of the games don't look like as big a jump though this gen. And the decent looking games are already struggling above 30fps as well as needing cuts to the resolution.

And the CPU is pretty low end.

I expect to get a PS4 within the next few months.

When they actually have some decent games and new IPs. Its a bit sad that the new generation will be comprised of Halo, COD, Uncharted, Assassins Creed, Gears of War, God of War etc.

So let's expect a PS4 slim somewhere around 2017-2018

I think that's more powerful than a PS4. The GTX750 Ti an equivalent to a R9 265 and it's better than a PS4. I think your CPU is better as well. The consoles have more cores but lower clocks, probably to keep power and heat lower on the silly APU everything is stuffed in.

It's cool you're waiting a while for next gen, I wish I did, They've just been a disappointment for me so far. There's barely any games and I'm not impressed with the graphics tbh.

Will likely get a PS4 sometime down the road.

maybe an Xbone depending on what kind of exclusives it gets and maybe even a Vita (lowest priority system for me ATM though)

Well, current gen, I got my PS4 late last year. Lately I've been forgetting I own one because of a crazy obsession with Dark Souls 2, and there's still some more to play on the PS3.

It's ok though. I'll get back to some more Need For Speed and Resogun soon, and still have to get Tomb Raider and play Outlast.

True, but PS3 launched in 2007 in Europe so I was counting from then.

I'm sure we'll see a slim in 2016 rather than 2017-2018

PS4, WiiU, PC and a 3DS that I never play. Might get a Xbone in a few years.

I'm deep down inside the new gen .. Have a 3DS, WiiU, Ps4 and PsVita .. The most I played so far are 3DS and WiiU although I will get into the Ps4 soon after I'm done with my Ps3 :)

Jumped into next gen with the 3DS. Then the Wii U for consoles.

And, am i wrong?. I mean, sure it's a fairly hyperbolic thing to say but the truth is my PC is much more powerful than the 8 gen consoles.

Im already in and i regret it. PS4 is the best console ever made, but it always takes 1 year for the good games to start to come out. Destiny, MGSVPP, Uncharted 4, The Order... hurry up :)

Early 2015 or Xmas 2014 depending on any new PS4 SKU's coming out and a price drop. Perfectly happy with my PS3:)

Have a PC that trashes the HD Twins so guess my only 8th Gen currently is the 3DS.

Eh...it's about the games.

Of which neither console has any that can justify the price tag in my opinion and in regards to the Wii U I have been playing my flatmates so no need to buy one as of yet.

I underlined what you said because i agree since mine also is way more powerful than PS4.

On the other hand lets be honest ... So much power to play the very same games just with higher resolutions / graphic settings. Personally i love playing in such settings but the overall experience is the same more or less for majority of gamers for majority of games.

So i think all this power is kinda wasted ( 16GB of ram that i got for example ) ... If a developer was serious about PC gaming with current technology ( like what Crysis was back in 2006/7 or whatever compared to console games ) we would have seen miracles ..yet we still playing slightly better the same console games consolites are playing in most cases....

I don't own the next-gen consoles, but I have easy access. Gonne pick them up in the next few weeks.

I don't see myself purchasing a PS4 for the next two years though. Waiting for at least 10 must have games and a price cut. Might get a Vita or Wii U though.

Not till 2015 or 2016. This generation has been super disappointing so far. Developers just can't let last gen go, and the games are suffering cause of it. Who knows, we might of had the Watch Dogs from E3 2012 if Ubisoft wasn't so worried about the game running on 360 and PS3

Probably around this time next year at the earliest. Depends when Sony can actually launch games and not just delay them
