When will u be jumping into next gen?

when are u guys going to be buying your next gen console? i will probably buy ps4 when tlou releases then i will have destiny (if thats any good) to look forward to and of course the order and uncharted 4. i will buy a x1 when they release a slim version, no fuckin way am i having that massive brick in my house

ps. no wiiu posts allowed, i said NEXT GEN.

Already did when i bought my WiiU, then i got a PS4.

Plus my PC is practically gens ahead of even 8th gen consoles.

Will get a PS4 but as of right now waiting till after E3 just incase Sony ends up announcing a new SKU of the PS4.

First half of 2015 unless some sort of new PS4 SKU is announced for the end of the year.

Got a Wii U, waiting until I see more games or a true killer app from my perspective for the other two, probably somewhere in late 2015.

No plans yet, seen nothing at all that interests me enough to even consider getting a next GEN console

As far as a PS4 I have always said if it ever gets a game that I feel like I can't live without, then I will get one. So far THE ONE is my only true love. I may date a PS4 for a night.

A PS4 slim for 2015 is very likely. I believe the PS3 also had a slim model 2 years after the original.

ps4 is already very small, how much smaller can it get? they will change the internal components to make it quieter and more efficient but i dont see it getting smaller than it is right now. sony did really nail the hardware this time

This, although I read somewhere that Sony was planning to reveal somekind of hardware revision, don't if it has anything to do with PS4 or maybe vita.

I jumped in November 15th 2013 when the only 8th gen console was released.

This question about whether Wii U is next gen or not is a testament to the cheapness of Nintendo. This has never been a question before. All of the consoles each gen were at least comparable in terms of tech and shared many of the multiplats. Now we have one console so far behind we have to have a debate as to whether the generations are purely about timeframe or technology.

If a company is a gen behind in technology, it's not really next gen. It doesn't deserve to call it that.

As soon as they are done with the first model their R&D starts working on a new mode. One that is smaller, cheaper to produce and makes them more profit.

That's always the case. So that rumor will turn out to be 100% correct.

Next gen refers to something not out yet. Technically, the new consoles are current gen. Otherwise you're just falling for marketing. I always stay current gen upon release but my PC pretty much outdoes everything else on the market. If anything the PC is ever the only thing that is "next gen".

Nintendo doesn't care about being current gen, they just want to make an affordable system and games that are just fun to play and provide new experiences in how you play. They don't care about an immersive, realistic experience. They just want to do their own thing and they haven't tried to be competitive in quite a while.

I have two Radeon HD R9-290s . I'm waiting for HBM equipped AMD GCNs for my next financial year spending.

Have a WiiU, never gonna miss Nintendo first party games even if I dislike the hardware/direction they've taken.

Will get a PS4 for Christmas, pick up Infamous, The Order, Destiny and Metal Gear Solid V (if it's out this year?).

They haven't used the tablet much yet though. Thought it'd play a much bigger part in Mario 3D World for example.

It is left over from my video game store. A freebee from my distributor. I also had a 7' Master Chief statue too but sold it. The wife wouldn't have liked it in the living room LOL>

And FYI, Wii-U is the successor to the Wii. Therefore it IS Nintendo's 8th gen console. Denial, nor applying circular logic won't change that.

Pft....my new PC is better than that. Nonetheless...it still limits the games. I want all ability to play all the games that interest me....not just a few.
