What's the best free to play game right now?

Just a 6/10 game wearing a 9/10 tshirt. He knows this by now.

Oh snap @davillain. I was cleaning out my "images" here at GameSpot and I deleted a bunch, including those. I assumed that they were embedded into the avatar and signature and were not tied to the IMAGES. I was wrong!

Destiny 2 (although the game is more "free to start" rather than "F2P" tbh)

I also used to like Warframe a lot but I can only have time for one GaaS game in my life. Even though I ended up chosing D2 over it, its commendable how Warframe microtransactions worked. When it comes to F2P economy Warframe is the example to follow cause only cosmetics are paid everything else you can get with some grinding. Even cool story expansions are the definition of free

I experiemnted with Apex Legends for a bit but battle royale just aint my thing. It has good gameplay mechanics but I prefer Titanfall

Genshin Impact. I also really enjoyed Kingdom Hearts: Union Cross on mobile before they shut it down.

I like Splitgate more than Halo Infinite

Path of Exile is an excellent game as it's a Free to play game done right.

When I think of a free to play game I immediately think of the words 'scummy' 'pure evil' and 'turn around and don't look back'.

But Path of Exile is actually one of those games that allows you to have fun for free.
