What sequal has had the biggest bump in graphics from its predecessor? (56k)

On the same console of course :P

Anyway i've recently been playing FFVIII (had it for 8 years but just started playing it now, i dont know why) and my gosh, this has got to be the single most biggest increase in graphics from a prequal ive seen on the same platform (im currently at the part where Squall meets Rinoa for the second time).

Of course both games look like utter garbage today but when you consider the sytem and the time of release, its quite amazing.

(not exactly the best pic for either games but oh well) Ive also got FFIX (havent played it yet) and that looks even better.

My second choice would be Mario bros 1 to mario bros 3. It makes you think its from another generation.

Damn, i completely forgot about that since it was so recent. That too is definately up there.

How about the two Bionic Commandoes. There's a big jump there. :P

True but that was from the PS1 to the PS2. This thread is about the same console. MGS2 to MGS3 was pretty substantial though.

That SMB3 is from All Stars, it is not the original SMB3 on the NES.

And I would say either GT2 to GT3 or MGS to MGS2. The PS to PS2 in general jump was huge.

There we go, i think thats from the original NES version. Point still stands, Huge improvement.
