What PC exclusive looks better than God of War?

Just need recommendations for my new rig.

The pinnacle of testing a PC rig in my mind used to be Arma 3 on ultra. I dont know if that still stands and if not one might want to look at Green Hell on Ultra

@blackballs: Battlefield V is the best looking game on the market to test your rig. If you have an RTX card even better. Looks fantastic with RTX on Ultra at 1440p.

Since you want to limit yourself to exclusives, try out INS: Sandstorm.

Post screens...it looks awful by todays standards....even the 1.6 update that changes the lighting can't hide it's last generation roots.

And have you not noticed that hermits never bring the game up as having console beating graphics? Because it doesn't.....

It's the same with the STALKER and Metro games...... they have last generation written all over them due to using last generation rendering techniques (And no PBR material systems that's now become the baseline standard this generation)

Every generation has a certain 'look'

• PSOne generation graphics had a 'blocky' look due to low polygon counts
• PS2 generation graphics had the 'fixed function' look as only Xbox has pixel shaders (Which we're never used to full effect)
• PS3 generation graphics had pixel shading but still had poor quality lighting and material integration
• Current generation has PBR and lighting just looks 'right'

And you can tell which of the above generation a game was from just by looking at it.

This. BFV is the graphics king of the gen so far. It looks unreal on ultra. GoW is stunning looking, but you have to see BFV in action with ray tracing.

Must be rough dealing with the reality that the best looking games are multiplatform.

Why does it matter? You said you wanted to test your rig. Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Battlefield V are better looking and more demanding than any games on any platform so just run with these.

God of War is a timed exclusive.
