What is the greatest second place console of all time?

Was it N64? N64 was a classic and had some of the most revolutionary games of all time. If I had pick, this would probably be it. But what about Sega Genesis? It was a pretty awesome competitor to Nintendo. And it was much more differentiated than today's competition. Or is it something else? I ask you SW because you are the corest of the core.

Probably the original Xbox

PS2/SNES, whichever one isn't first place.

Certainly not an Xbone that's for sure. I'd vote for N64 or the original Xbox.

Well it's 360 or PS3 then, all others be damned (except maybe Xbox, there's a decent argument for the green beast).

There are fantastic arguments to be made for the 360/PS3 as quality runner ups, especially considering the #1 seller of their generation sucked. The Xbox however would get so thoroughly clowned in a debate against the Genesis.

LOL, the never ending debate on which one actually sold more. 360 was better than ps3 overall. And wii is the fakest 1st place console ever. Everyone who bought it barely ever played it. The average wii owner played their system like 1 hour a week and thats a fact.

Well I thought 360 has sold a tiny bit more but that could be wrong (let's not forget they're both still selling), and the gap is so narrow that it doesn't really matter, we could just call it a tie.
