What are your favorite moments of ownage in SW history?

Because back then GameSpot used to offer a paid membership. If you were not a paid member, “basic” was added to your username. My original username was supposed to be SolidGamer but they cut the last letter off and added the _basic tag 😄 so silly.

@Macutchi: I don't remember that. I wasn't frequenting the Lounge back then as much as I do now, but I do remember Subspecies making an exit thread where he said he was mentally unwell and needs to leave this site to better himself.

Was that like a trial thing? Because my (and other's) account is older than yours and I've never had this on my username. Never paid for GS either.

The top one for me was tormentos losing his sh*t over teh cell for being a disaster. It was something about a thread with a guy from Guerilla praising it saying how it was ahead of its time or some sh*t. Just hilarious!

Second was a guy named something khan. Got his panties in a twist because PC has a bigger market than consoles and he can't deal with it.

Another one was a guy name scatteh something getting mad every time I post. He always gets mad that no matter how much he tried I always able to disprove him. At one point he got so mad when I brought all the recipts of him saying dumb sh*t in a post he dared me. Probably the guy was devastated once Sony brought exclusives to PC to have never heard from him again.

As I said I still visit this place once a week/fortnight to look at the nonsense, so keep up the in fighting as you do provide some entertainment when i'm at work on Saturday's.

But the CELL cpu greatly slowed development, the system cost too much, games performed like shit for like two years because no one could be bothered to learn how to program on it. So all these games were just using the one core.

It took like one month to make one of those “premium” cars in GT5. So most cars were upgraded PS2 cars.

For at least two thirds of the gen, ps3 was having a tough time. Oh and Sony barely made any money either that gen. The console was so costly, Sony kept redesigning taking stuff out. The console put Sony in the red for a while.

Don’t try and rewrite the gen and make out like it was a cake walk for Sony.

PC Won that gen according to the SW Meta, Wii still came second. PC had more games than the Wii, PS3 and Xbox combined.

Underrated console, and I would argue its games were a nice respite from the AAA banality we all claim to hate today.

@randy_lahey: except the Xbox 360 was in front for the first half and they were neck and neck after that. PS3 pulled ahead after the 80M point. MS wasn't really trying after that and the cows are using the minor differences past that point as some massive win, when in reality the gen was barely a win worth mentioning.
