So far I like the Wii-U the most, but only because I won't be playing online on the PS4 and that I'm unsure of its library.
The pay to play online is really what turns me off the PS4 and Xbox One. With the Wii U, some more power would've been nice and better 3rd party support.
Mine are (in no particular order for each):PS4:
1) The UI, like the new PS Store, looks like a cluttered mess. Â Looks serviceable, albeit I agree in substance - the UI isn't the best
2) Some PS games that could be system sellers are being made only for PS3. Â At some point they may be available via Gaikai. Â But it's not a bad year to keep your PS3
3) Sony is sure taking its time announcing these exclusives they've promised. Â Marketing 101: why distract the market with products that are coming down the road when you have titles you have to sell in the here & now? Â Each game will get its turn in the spotlight - I mean, just look at how making an announcement prematurely worked for Last Guardian and FFvXIII....Â
4) Their multiplayer servers may not be as good as the X1's. Â Â Maybe. Â I didn't PSN's to be an issue for the online games I liked, but overall XBL has had very reliable service from game to game
5) Still no confirmation of being able to change your PSN ID. Â Â It's a little thing, but I agree. Â Still don't want to have to pay $10 for it though.Xbox One:
1) Too Expensive   It's a matter of value.  Are you going to get $500 of time out of the features you're getting?
2) Kinect Requirement   Kinect is great tech utterly wasted on videogames.  Waiting to be proven wrong.
3) No Bundled headset (I don't want to hear other people's voices coming out of my TV). Â Â Yup. Â LOL @ using Kinect as your substitute headset. Â But seriously, buy your own surround sound headset, they're worth the money. Â And it's not like PS4's packed-in headset is worth the spit in my mouth.
4) I'm a little cautious on many of its exclusives due things such as the look of certain games, dev time, and pedigree. Â Â So far, yeah. Â MS has work to do fleshing out its catalog of exclusives, something it was troubled by toward the end of the 360's lifespan.
5) Lack of support for Indies may see many smaller hit titles go PS4/PC only. Â Â Which I'm ok with since I'll own both those platforms. Â But yeah, MS has been a real d*ck to indie devsWii U:
1) Underpowered Specs  Yup
2) Little 3rd Party Support  Yup
3) Long Game Droughts  Yup (all consoles have issues with this)
4) Nintendo is playing it too safe with its lineup. Â Yup
5) Online features don't match up with the competition. Â YupTheDidact
I really don't have a problem with either the PS4 or Xbox One
I am kinda curious to see if the light on the PS4 controller will be a nuisance when playing in a completely dark room. I really hope the Kinect will work completely like advertised.
Then there is Wii U...which is terrible.

Xbox One: Dramatically underpowered, Kinect, price
PS4: A bit underpowered (Both systems should be 2.5 tflops imo. Seriously, both companies have left the door wide open for the likes of a Samsung or Apple to come in and launch a TRUE next-gen console), controller, no Halo, trophy system is inferior to Xbox's achievement system

About all the edits: I keep thinking of more things to add. :)
1. They aren't a PC.
2. They don't play PC games.
3. They don't allow mods.
4. They have limited genres of games.
5. They both cost more in the UK than a decent CPU/Mem/MB/Gcard upgrade.

6. Pay to play online.
7. no backwards compatibility.
8. No steam sales.
9. Most games play at 30 fps.

Yep! I hate NAMCO right now because of this...
(rumors do say that namco is making pressure on FROM to make it cross gen, but FROM does what it wants really)

I don't really care about the specs of each console. To me, a console should be a good mainstream gaming box that offers something new. A new way to think and play games. As of now, only the Wii U offers that. The Xbox One has the potential. And the PS4 is just the same old thing.
Xbox One - I don't have $500 to spend on one
Wii U - I don't have $350 to spend on one
PS4 - No games, so it's not worth spending money on anyways
For the record I have both a PS4 and Xbox One preordered from Amazon, waiting till the last second to decide on which I keep.
PS4:
1. PSN is inferior to XBL, even with the free games PS+ offers. Not as reliable and just feels dead.
2. The UI looks bland, and if its anything like the PS3's UI, it will suck.
3. The controller: I have ergonomic issues with the dual shock controller. My thumbs always knock together.
4. Although its more powerful than XB1, its just an upgraded PS3 as of now. I have a gaming PC so power is not a huge deal to me.
Xbox One:
1. $500 is a little steep, though I'm more accepting of it than most since I think kinect 2 is an amazing piece of tech and is probably worth more than $100.
2. Power: not really in relation to the PS4, but macroscopically the XB1 is really not that powerful. Its not weak, but its mid-range hardware from a few years back in PC terms.
3. Less killer exclusives than Sony. I love Halo, and like Gears, but outside of that there isn't much. Uncharted and TLOU are better than everything on Xbox. Scared that the last few years of the 360 lifecycle with little to no exclusives will carry over to XB1.
I'm leaning XB1 just because I think the 360 is better than the PS3. The DRM and online policies didn't bother me much. Sony still has me on the fence because of their amazing exclusive lineup that will no doubt make an appearance on the PS4. Both systems have issues. I intend to own both eventually if things work out.
The PS4:
The money I spent on PS3 is worthless on the new console

Yes, I understand that you can still use the old consoles, but I don't need all of that shit cluttering up my living room. I really don't like how all of this stuff is going digital, but for some reason they can't find a way to have at least some kind of solution to carrying over content from one generation to the next. I can still play shit from 15 years ago on my PC with few issues yet all of this new hardware is incapable of playing shit from 5 years ago?
Get the hell out of here. That's lousy. I'm probably gonna just stick with the PC until I see how things turn out.
From most important to least
PS4
1. Weak launch
2. Pay to play online
Â
Xbox One
1. Very weak launch
2. Price
3. Kinect mandatory
4. Pay to play online
5. Totally lack of focus on markets other than EU and America
6. Will probably dry on JRPG
Â
Wii U
1. Very weak library.
2. Not enough new IPs.
3. Lack of 3rd party support.
4. Underperformed
PS4 -
Just an upgraded PS3. Nothing amazing about it. Not to mention it has the weakest exclusive lineup in the history of video games as of today. Even worse than the Jaguar and 3DO!
Xbox One -
$499, and although its exclusive lineup is better than the PS4, it still isn't that great.
For both: NO. BACKWARDS. COMPATIBILITY....!!!
Wii U -
What's that?
Â
Xbox One:
- Too Expensive. Should be around $349-399
- Xbox LIVE Gold Required to Play Online.
- Kinect has not shown it's full potential.
- Won't get any Japanese-centric support.

ShadowDeathX
Final Fantasy XV, Dead Rising 3 (the studio is Canadian but Capcom is Japanese), Crimson Dragon, D4, Kingdom Hearts 3, Metal Gear Solid V, and so on aren't Japanese?
To be honest, I think ALL consoles won't get much Japanese-centric support.

Do you have a crystal ball to know which launch/launch window games Sony is going to announce at Gamescom, pre-TGS event, TGS and VGA?
How can the PS4 be an upgraded PS3 when the architecture is totally different?
If the PS4 is an upgraded PS3, the X1 is a downgraded PS4... dat 1.1tflops after the OS reserve...
As a current Wii-U owner, and someone that will probably just own a Wii-U this generation, from an average consumer standpoint the Playstation 4 looks like the best next-generation console.
Playstation 4 Problems:
Xbox One Problems:
Wii-U Problems:
PS4
1. PS+ for online requirement
2. Seeing as they are a big pusher of BD, I was hoping they would have a superior BD storage and drive than their peer.
WiiU
1. Lack of games
2. Lack of versatility
3. Lack of vision for future 3rd party relations, terrible timing of 1st party
4. Terrible storage options
5. Proprietary discs
6. Tablet Controller
7. Lack of risk, something boldly new
8. Hardware
9. Executive leadership
One
1. A lot

Sony isn't going to announce much more.
Let's face it, all they have announced is Killzone (who cares?), Knack (worthless), The Order (ways off), Infamous (bland), and Driveclub (lmao). Their E3 was the weakest in console history - only ONE announced exclusive. In the industry, that is UNHEARD of.
Maybe at GamesCom they will announce a Media Molecule game and some other game no one cares about, but that's it.
The PS4 has the weakest exclusive lineup in the history of video games. Even the Jaguar was better.

Infamous bland? It looks miles better than most open world games. The powers look really fun to use and the game itself looks beautiful. And Killzone might not match Halo but SF looks like a major improvement in terms of design and gameplay. We just have to wait for the multiplayer before we can make a final comparison.[QUOTE="Cheleman"]This.PS4

Well you have a horrible taste in games if you truly believe that. And you really trust 343 to put out a quality Halo after Space CoD? And Naughty Dog is rumored to be releasing Uncharted 4 next year (hinted at by the guy on GAF who leaked the X1 lineup before E3).Please Log In to post.
