What are the chances of WiiU outselling XBONE in June NPD?

While Xbone sales is tanking (77K in May NPD), WiiU is enjoying a renaissance (67K in May NPD) due to MK8. Then Nintendo came out swinging at E3 (although I think Sony still won E3 with Bloodborne) which I think will generate more buzz for WiiU post-E3. Meantime all exclusive rumours for Xbone didn't materialize at E3. Xbone came out limp.

So what are the chances of WiiU outselling Xbone in June? as a playstation gamer, I have to say WiiU starting to look mightily attractive

It's not unfathomable. With MK8 pushing units, the Wii U may have outsold the Xbox One. At least for last month.

The chances are pretty good. MK8 is a sales beast and XBone has no system sellers in June.

Pretty high, I'd say. This is the first month that Mario Kart 8 will be out for all of it (it came out at the very end of May). I'm quite curious as to how it helps the Wii-U in sales.

I'd say it's pretty high since Xbone hasn't had a good Reason for Consumers to buy since March. WiiU had Mario Kart 8 at the beginning of this month.

Gamers want 3rd party games, and clearly they either don't exist or are very limited on WiiU.

WiiU has a chance to stand on its own with Nintendo games, and those games may push WiiU sales temporarily, but that's about it. Expect droughts after droughts after droughts and then in comes a Nintendo game to push more units.

For this entire generation, it goes like this:

1. PS4
2. X1
3. WiiU

xbone n wiiu are tied for being dead. ps4 is the only system that matters this gen imho facts

Yeah that's not gonna happen. I do expect the Wii U to sell reasonably well this month, though.

Even if Mario Kart 8 had the larger impact, it's likely that the Xbox One still does better in absolute terms because it had a better baseline to be working from to begin with.

Love the way the cows (and Sony even) use Nintendo in such patronising back-handed manner. That's why Nintendo doesn't respond in kind, because they aren't stupid enough to take it.

X1 and PS4 tied at e3 accept it, Nintendo beat them both out. It was deserved. The Wii U is better than the PS4 and X1 right now and deserves all the success it gets. See the Wii U has these things on it called games, something the owners of the other two will become familiar with after the dry first year comes to an end.

The Wii U has been beating the PS4 in Japan for over a month now. The Wii U could see a nice jump in the U.S. as well. We'll see I guess.

I think Nintendo screwed this gen up.

Granted they have some really good titles now and some upcoming titles... But it feels like the majority of people who wanted a Wii U already got one. Yeah sure there are those who wants a price drop but I don't think it'll make the Wii U sell like hot cakes like the original Wii did.

It's definitely a possibility, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Sony sold over 150 million PS2s. Sony was unstoppable in the 6th generation. They should have dominated the 7th generation. Instead they ended up in 3rd place. They even had to start combining PS2 and PS3 sales towards the end to try and hide that third place landing. You don't consider that failure? I would be willing to be most Sony stockholders considered it a failure.

I'll be surprised if Wii U outsells the XB1. Even though Nintendo won the E3, most of the great games they showed aren't coming out until 2015. XB1 price cut should have given it a good surge of sales. Will it be on top for June? We'll see.

WiiU will get the rest of its MK8 surge.

XB1 will grab attention for ditching Kinect.

PS4 did nothing.

So these three ending up in any order wouldn't be shocking. Certainly not for the slow Slow SLOW month of June. Longer term everyone will return to their typical order.

Probably wont happen. I see titles like Mario Kart being very important for the fans who bought the console in the first place but not titles that will win the naysayers around. It's a title people knew was coming to this generation years before it was ever announced. People weren't holding off for the announcement. It will sell a few consoles but in my opinion not a great deal.

Xbox 1 had a price cut. That was sorely needed.

IDK but the WiiU has a good chance of having higher monthly sales from now till the end of the year than PS4 X1

I would say it is possible, but I find it unlikely. I hope Nintendo does... I really do. Not for any bias reason though. I just want to see all three meet with success, so that we as game players continue receiving the best of all worlds.
