But anyway, looks like a new IP?

I would love a TF3 though it could be argued there doesn't have to be a TF3 and TF2 isn't even finished yet. That doesn't rule out Half Life 3, but knowing Valve Ikind of doubt. Hell, even if it is Half Life 3, that'd only mean 4 more years of waiting. Hmmmm, maybe Team Fortress 3?

My thoughts exactly.Just stop with the episodes already. They are released so far apart they are pointless. Just give us HL3 and a new source engine already.

My thoughts exactly. That will leave a lot of already-agitated fans to wait even longer for what should of originally been a conclusion to a storyline. It may be pointless to do it now, but given E2's cliffhanger, people are just tired of waiting.[QUOTE="myke2010"]

I'm wondering why it would be would hl3 though? didn't last update said it was going to be pc exclusive? wouldn't it make sense to really it on the xbox 360(no I'm not going to get it on the 360 even it came out for it).

Plus who knows, maybe they have have been working on the game/engine for a while?[QUOTE="myke2010"]

It would make sense unless it's being released on an entirely new engine, perhaps one that is too much for a console to handle. (Just for the record, I doubt it's HL3, but that would still be awesome)

Don't see why.. Every game even the newest ones like L4D2 has been a hit using a modifed version of the Source Engine.

I remember Valve saying Ep3 will be bigger and also would take more time to develop, still, this is getting ridiculos, just give us the conclusion, and call it whatever you want Valve, Ep 3 or Half Life 3.

I want a full fledged $50/$60 titles this time around. Loads of maps, new classes and maybe even a map editor. I would be so stoked. That doesn't rule out Half Life 3, but knowing Valve Ikind of doubt. Hell, even if it is Half Life 3, that'd only mean 4 more years of waiting. Hmmmm, maybe Team Fortress 3?

Which basically is everything that Team fortress series was NOT.

Uhh, what? Arguing that adding maps and classes would diminish what a game is isn't a valid argument. There's no denying the fact that TF2 lacked in the map area. It had longevity due to it being very fun to play but still... saying that adding more longevity would ruin what a series is is a ridiculous statement.[QUOTE="sSubZerOo"]

Uhh, what? Arguing that adding maps and classes would diminish what a game is isn't a valid argument.TF2 is a remake of a classic.. New classes make no sense when every role is already filled with it.. New maps? New maps are added by Valve and users all the itme for the pc..

Yeah if you play the crippled console version. But fans fo the game play the pc version..

.. I take it you havn't played the pc then?

It's also not done as they're still adding free stuff to it.Uhh, what? Arguing that adding maps and classes would diminish what a game is isn't a valid argument.[QUOTE="jamejame"]

I own the PC version. Saying true fans only play the PC version is messed though as I started out on the console version and loved it there while it lasted, as did many others. What I'm saying is I'd like to see a full release that is more complete out of the box. I'm not bashing Valve for what they did with TF2, but more from the start wouldn't hurt. Also, the user made maps don't make up for the lack of retail maps, but that's your opinion. And who cares about classes? Changing things up is how you make a sequel. New classes that balance well with the old ones wouldn't ruin anything.Oh jeeze I hope it's not Left 4 Dead 3.
Wasdie
I hear yeah, I'm not sure if you're a fan of the series or not but I can't stand it but I highly doubt anyone really wants a L4D3 at the moment.
I wouldn't mind L4D3 or an expansion of some kind. I personally hated L4D2 but loved L4D1, though Half Life 3 would be better.
I guess a new IP.
Hm, I'm looking forward to it. I wasn't disappointed by Left 4 Dead or Left 4 Dead 2.
