I would rather have reliable hardware, graphics that bedazzle, and quality exclusives.

The one with good games: Switch
I hear the games are so bad that people switch it for the Scorpio hence it's name.
I already made the call and went with Nintendo. The reason being that PS4 will remain my primary and I'll have the Nintendo for family couch coop fun and a few single player Nintendo IPs like Zelda. Xbox has very few exclusive IPs that I give a damn about and one of those is vaporware until at least E3 (Battletoads reboot rumor).
Scorpio. BOTW is all I want to play on a switch. Whereas on Scorpio, every game on my HDD, my 4TB external will be playable and better as a result. Thank you Microsoft and God bless the United States.
Why choose when you can have both and enjoy the great things that they both have to offer? I already have the Nintendo Switch and I will buy Scorpio at launch.

To make matters worse you can play BOTW and Mario Kart 8 on the WiiU.
The one which will demonstratively have more games, Scorpio.
With the Switch you make a huge sacrifice of third party which literally makes up 95% of game releases.
No one should have a Switch as their primary console. I already have a Switch and Xbox One. If the price is right and Scorpio does what MS says it does I will upgrade.
If it's $499 and up I'm trading in my Xbox One to have a better price point. $399 I'll keep my Xbox One and have the Scorpio all to my self ?
Switch because Nintendo's 1st party is top tier and a Scorpio is redundant when I already have a PS4.

The compute deficit isn't redundant.
Well, I already own a Nintendo Switch and an Xbox One.
I guess my recommendation would come solely on what you already own.
@manticored: the way I see it is that paying that big console price to play the games I already have access to is not worth it. A Switch and PS4 gives me access to more content then having PS4 and Scorpio.
Neither! But to pick one, it will be the Switch because it has games that I can't get from other devices. Xbox games will be either in PS4 or PC which I have both!

The irony being the only two games worth owning on the Switch are available on another platform.
I'd rather have a Switch because portability is life. I think it'd be hard to find a better portable gaming experience than I've had on my PS Vita(Sony Fanboy) but from what I'm seeing as far as screenshots, reviews, upcoming games, etc. I think it's safe to say that the Switch is currently wearing the handheld gaming crown right now. Scorpio on the other hand will be like it's predecessor with power to boast about but not many AAA games that are legitimately fun. Sony and Nintendo(once they release more games for Switch) have a little bit of something for everybody. XB1 on the other hand...meh lol
I'm waiting on a revision for the Switch I want it more portable liek the 3ds
and scorpio better show off some scorpio only exclusive games or im sticking with my xbox 1
Scorpio.
Paying PC Prices for games I can play everywhere else, for graphics that are already blown away by real PC's.

I'm a console gamer and Switch isn't a real console plus they won't have the big budget multiplat games like RDR2, Battlefront 2, Injustice 2, the list goes on and on. Latest NPD shows 15 out of 20 best selling games were multiplats, the top was a multiplat. There are just much more best selling and best scoring multiplats in general and the Switch seems like they won't have those. Also I like my console to do more than gaming and the Scorpio offers real 4k experience with a plethora of entertainment apps. The Scorpio is the center piece of my entertainment center. Also Xbox made it more convenient to go digital on a gaming console by offering consumer friendly options like backward compatibility, game sharing, digital refunds, rewards, just to name a few while Nintendo ecosystem with the Switch is non-existent and will be at its infancy. I already have a Switch in this home and sure I get to play games like Zelda and Marios but I always find myself always going back to play other games not on the Switch. The Xbox is the main all in one console at the center of my entertainment center, and it's a toss up depending on the game which system become the second or third go to gaming system between the PS and Switch here.
Scorpio for me, but I might get the Switch as well later on if the price goes down, and more importantly, if it becomes in Stock for more than a few min.
I dont really game on the go, and I recently upgraded to 4K. I have a ton of Xbox One and Xbox 360 games and accessories, including the Elite controller, so the awesome looking Scorpio that promises to unleash all of its raw power natively on all previous and future XOne titles, makes it a pretty easy sell for me.
Scorpio will be better hardware - much more capabilities. I have no need for one though since I have a decent gaming PC already.
I would grab a Switch if it didn't mean supporting Nintendo. I'll probably get a used one. They've started appearing on amazon for around $230....... It's hard to justify buying one since I will likely only ever play Zelda and Mario. Part of me wants to hold out and see if they release a more standard console with a bit more power. I would really like to play Zelda with a proper refresh rate.
I'll vote for Scorpio, but will likely never have one.
Depends what MS brings to the table at E3. If they announce a bunch of promising new IP that I cannot play on PS4, then the Scorpio will start looking nice. Otherwise, it's a no-brainer. The Switch has exclusives.
I have a Switch. I don't plan to get a 4K TV anytime soon so probably don't need a Scorpio. I'm still looking out for new X1 game announcements though. I still want an X1 eventually but haven't pulled the trigger yet, probably get the Slim.
Switch, anything I actually want to play on xbox, I can just play on PC.
None of the xbox exclusives interest me, so I'll likely pick up a ps4 at some point as well.
Is this thread topic supposed be a decision between "if you could only have one console, which of the two would you pick?" debate or a "if I already own multiple systems, which would my next purchase be between the two?" debate?..
Because, if we are talking about a direct head-to-head comparison in a vacuum, then this isn't a contest.. Scorpio will have more hardware power, more games, better online, and a more fleshed out ecosystem of features and services..
If this about the 2nd option, who cares?.. The debate is already off balance because everyone who picks the Switch will try to point to their PCs or PS4s as reasons to discount every one of Scorpio's clear advantages..
In a fair debate, the answer is clear: Scorpio
@Eikichi-Onizuka: I think there are some great games coming (hopefully).
Cities Skyline just released today and there is Sea of Thieves on the horizon.
I do not game on portables. The Switch has nothing appealing to me hardware wise. The only games on it I am remotely interested in are already on the WiiU.
Not sure I would get a Scorpio either though. Depends if the games are coming and they support it's superior hardware for titles already made.

Don't buy those. They're a scam. All "Just Launched" users that Amazon can't keep up with in time to delete.
The legit Amazon marketplace Switches are going for $385 and up.
@Pedro: True and me not being a big racing game fan, MK8 Deluxe milkage edition means even less to me. The Scorpio will fill most of my gaming wants, Switch only has Zelda for me and since I could play other Zeldas with a WiiU I would rather find one of those. But Ninty being the shithole corp they are is charging the same for their old fail console as their new hotness. And people slurp that shyte up, no outrage at all.

Nintendo discontinued the Wii U, but when it was being sold, it was $250 with a game bundled, which is not the same price as the Switch at $299.
You can get a refurbished one for $200 at Nintendo's website if you like. The "shithole corp" is still releasing new and old games digitally for the system, and many of the best games of its lifespan have already been reduced to $20. Plus it plays the entire Wii catalog too, and most of that system's best games are also around that price these days.
There will be no "Scorpio Exclusive" games, all games will be playable in the X1, I already have X1 ( actually I have orig X1 and X1S ), 4K resolution ? I don't care and I'm not planning to purchase another screen in several years. I would rather get me a Switch ..... when it has enough games I would like to have.
@Antwan3K: "in a fair debate" lol you Xbox fans play the victim card as naturally as getting out of bed in the morning.
Wtf are you talking about?

So many anti-Microsoft haters post on system wars and there is absolutely no reason to hate the only corporation that cares about its customers of the three gaming corporations. Anyone who has spent time with Microsoft's customer service can testify to how delicately they treat their customers. Microsoft being persecuted on these forums makes me nearly break down and cry.
