U$400 PC beats PS4

Yea, thinking about selling the PC. I dont like FB games and generic rehash mmos. Sniper was right, just stick with consoles for the true next gen experience.

According to GS: PC has the most diverse genres of 8's and 9's http://www.gamespot.com/reviews/?page=3&platform=PC

Nothing in the past year has been FaceBook games (which GS does not even review AFAIK) or MMO's.

So given that info, please explain why consoles get less 9.0 + 8.0 games than PC each year.

no one uses split screen these days. If you say you do, you're a dirty liar. KB+M are dirt cheap, same with a headset. OS is free.

I wouldn't buy that PC for $400. Plus I buy a console for the experience not because of how much it cost. I have a gaming PC for my PC gaming needs. Different experiences, but I enjoy console exclusives more. I do appreciate the high quality multiplats on PC though.

Windows 8 alone takes up over 1/4 of that cost. Then you add in a decent keyboard and gaming mouse and you are left with under 230 dollars for the rest of the gear...NO WAY that is accurate.

Build an Intel based PC for around $400 to $499 USD.

As much as I love pc gaming this rig is trash and does not scale at all for future upgrades, Id rather get a 400 dollar ps4. In addition there is no OS included meanwhile the ps4 comes with the OS in the end product (i mean what are you gonna use GNU/Linux, good luck running BF4 and keeping it stable). If we are comparing end products then you have to include the OS, without windows $$$ there is no way to play BF4.

I dont want a PC that just beats a PS4, whats the point thwen? Just buy the damn PS4 then. You'll get better exclusives that way too.

Build the PC that obliterates the ps4 instead! Sure its more expensive but this is where pc gaming really shines, hardware that last into the generation after the ps4.

Yes but either way you have had to have paid at some point in your past to obtain that windows disc. Windows was never free to begin with...

i played it yeasterday on my 4gb ram PC

it runs 45fps maxed out (so much better tha PS4)

but that thing is crap and thats why i didnt mention COD ghosts, its purposely unoptimized on PC and should run on my PC on 60fps 1080p maxed out

ghosts only use 2gb of ram on max settings( stupid uncompressed textures), but it should use only 600mb since it looks much worse than battlefield 3

you can put a 8 core fx series cpu on this later, also up to 16gb 1866 ram and a 2x faster GPU with the same PSU

PS4 dont have a OS, all it has is a tiny UI to run games, remember its also a PC, you can work on it all day and at night play games, try editing office documents or editing videos on your PS4

you still have to purchase an OS (unless you plan to try and game on linux) in order for the PC to even work. the PS4 doesn't need an extra OS purchase. and the added components later, greatly increase the cost of the PC by about double, and I have a feeling that some of the components could oppose future upgrades

in 3 years your PS4 will fail you will have to buy another one for 300

you will already have spent 150 on psn and 300 in games

on the PC side it will keep cool since it has decent case size and fans

spend zero on psn and 100 dollars for the same games

so saving 650 dollars (750 -100) i can build another (much better) PC

i had a ps3, x360(died in 2 years) a wii(for 2 months to play mario games) and now im happy to save money with my PC
