*sigh* outrage culture and victim mentality of gamers rears its ugly head again.
This will have like no bearing on the quality of the game; if it sucks, it's because of the gameplay. If you want to be outraged because they're going in a direction that's a bit more sensitive to others then you have bigger problems.

If the game is good I will play it, if it sucks then I'll skip it. The name has no real bearing on it for me.
Yep, same.

Folks are reacting to this snippet as a problem, but I don't see what the problem is. Dare I asked and not get any answers?🤔
No, stay outraged and don't seek out a.) new info or b.) context.

I mean isn't that the first thing everyone thinks about when Tomb Raider comes to mind? A world hurt by evil colonialism? Give me a break.. lol. Every country in the world has had its boundaries redrawn at least a dozen times. Can't we just get the games and stop pretending they are real? Isn't that the freaking point of a game?
...
It's not a big deal to me personally, so I'm just arguing here for the sake of argument, but...
...by your logic, why even bother trying to improve?
I mean, I get where you're coming from. But life imitates art, as they say; what we see in our works of art we take out into the world and find in life. If art presents a better version or a better way to view things or asks people to pursue their ideals, then perhaps there is actual good that can stem from taking a more sensitive approach.
