wow good luck getting any of those mediocre games to run on your $1,000 pc's. i'm too cheap to afford a pc worth that much, so i buy a $600 console and hundreds of dollars worth of peripherals and games at full price (like a real gamer does) for a much greater experience.

Makes me wonder why console download games don't count, yet on PC they do. I know there are full retail games in there, but games like botanicula are easily comparable with XBLA/PSN games. RR360DD

This has been discussed a lot over the past few months. I personally count them just the same as retail games since some of them have even more content than full retail games. Look at Torchlight 2 for example.

If PC had games, then we would at least see 5% of them being advertised on teh TVs. Since I don't see them, it must mean PeeCees have no games.ShadowDeathX

However...

As an owner and supporter of all three consoles, a 3DS, and a powerful gaming PC rig I have to tell you something: No. No I'm not jealous. Even in the slightest.

Instead of being jealous of you I am sad for you that you seem to think that picking one gaming platform and defending it as superior to all of the wonderful options we have as gamers is more important than open-mindedly experience the entire gaming landscape and accepting into your life the full range of options we are so lucky to have available to us. You know, the kind of options that actually educate you on the subject and lend integrityand credibilityto the poor excuse of an opinion you have on this hobby we all love. Without the full knowledge of the industry you're just a kid with a keyboard and too much free time on his hands.

But then again, none of us are new to that either.

That list is terrible, how can I ever think to game without Halo or Uncharted?!?

As a owner of a PC and a PS3, I don't even have enough time to even play all the games available for those 2 platforms. Throw in a Wii, 360, and a handheld, and I'm just pissing money in the wind on things that won't give me much use since I don't have time for them all. And I don't want to toot my own horn but I would say I have pretty good knowledgeable of the gaming world, much more so than the average gamer who buys 2-3 games a year.

There's no way I could make a list of 360 games to compare.. there too many expansion packs ect.. that are released on a regular basis. Still though... XBLA outshines the other consoles.. ;)

Yeah, PC dominated 2012 but only because when it comes to exclusives, consoles were pretty poor this year... next year will be another different story

The game was spit upon by pretty much every Flight Simulator fan.

And I thought Diablo 3 was casual trash...

Anyhow, the biggest PC "game" this year was DayZ, an Arma 2 mod.

Which means that Arma 2's mission editor > everything else.

Only one AAA = lolSilverbond

Actually missing the GOTY off there which is also a PC exclusive, DayZ.
