The Wii's 08 Lineup Could be Considered the Best, The EndAll post(56k/Cab death)

First, let me say, it is fairy obvious the Wii's 08 lineup is far superior to the 07 lineup. When the question is presented "what is after brawl" the anwser is not simple. Some big titles for the Wii in 09 and 10 likely include Starfox, Kirby, Punchout, and another Zelda game, among other speculation, however lets get to the question at hand.

It's a common misconception that the Wii's lineup is(weak in 08), because most people who don't own a Wii, don't spend their time researching the upcoming titles.

First, lets talk about the guarnteed "Big" sellers for the consoles, and lets talk conservatively:

360: Fable 2, Halo Wars, GTA 4

PS3: MGS, Gran Turismo, Tekken, FFXIII*, GTA 4

Wii: Brawl, Kart, Fit, Music, Spore*

*Assumes 08

Many people like to leave out Wii Music, however it will almost definately be a blockbuster, that has been in development since the Wii was the revolution(remember miyamoto using the remote as a baton, that's the game).

Fairly balanced, if you think about it, considering that all the titles listed are highly anticipated, even giving the Wii the edge, considering the popularity of the Smash Brothers and Mario Kart franchises on the Gamecube(they were the 2 top selling titles).

However, where the Wii excells and surpasses it competition in 08 is with its relatively large range of exclusive titles that are not guarnteed 500k plus sellers. I am aware the 360 also has such a list with games like Alan Wake, but I contend that the Wii's list is better overall, imo, however, it is at least competitive with the 360's list, and considering the 360's biggest game is a multiplat, I think this will give the Wii the edge in 08.

Keeping in mind most of these games are exclusive, and while you might not like some or any of the titles you see(though I dunno how), you must admit, that Wii fans don't have anything to worry about, considering they matched 360 software in the US 1 to 1 this week according to VGChartz, with its current library which is inferior to the current 360 library. Software does sell on the Wii, the argument that it doesn't, is long dead. This year, we're finally getting a lot of great software.

I promise you ladies and gentlemen. Wii fans aren't worried, they are extremely excited. Are you?

I dont think Wii has the best 2008 AT ALL. In fact I think its worse than 2007....Wii Fit is meh....Brawl and Kart are cool...everything else is an uncertainty. Brawl and Kart certainly dont match up against Galaxy, Prime, RE4, BW2, Super Paper Mario, WW:SM, etc for 2007....

Wii is always going to get exclusive games, because the PS3 and 360 are more powerfull console and gets higher graphics games. So there won't be any ugly lookinghouse of the dead game on those consoles.

I'm not bashing the Wii, i had a Wii for 6 months...but i just sold it... i was getting jaelous of those gorgeous graphics i saw on tv from the PS3 and i just got an HD tv, and it's freakin beautiful.... My Wii looked craped on my HD... but Wii is all about fun :)

The Wii is the perfect "casual" console, you can play with your uncle and have fun, when your sister comes over you play a hour and it's all laugh and fun..

But when you're alone, gaming in your living room.. the Wii's no fun.. sure there's mario.. and zelda.. but i'm getting sick of those games.. and c'mon Wii!!You gotta improve your visuals...

Anyway, i think every console is getting great games in 08, and Wii is getting the most uniques cuz of it's controls and visuals... Xbox and PS3 are pretty much "clones" consoles. I have a PS3, but i'd be equaly happy with a 360...

Quite competitive, imo. Definately getting some of those for my 360. There are a whole lot of multiplats there, but then again, there are several ports on the Wii's list.

Remember, in your list, you left in the big name games. I contend that the big name Wii exclusive games will equal the big name PS3 exclusives in sales, at least.

I never said the Wii's library is the "end all" best, I said that it is competitive, and depending on the gamer, it could be considered the best. IMO, the lists for PS3 vs Wii are very close to dead even.
