That's impossible. People on SW said they saw piles of them in stores and the better consoles were flying off shelves.
That's actually true. I took a picture in Best Buy if you'd like to see.

I saw it, too. My parents got me a Switch for Christmas/Birthday. We waited in line on Thanksgiving to get it (only for ten to fifteen minutes). I had heard of shortages and how popular the system was, I was worried that I wouldn't get one. However, once we got in Best Buy there was a huge pile of them, much to my surprise.

tons of them in the gaming section and tons behind the cash registers. Walmart and Target were the same way. Any time I go to those stores I see them.
I’m not saying this is the case but the only PS4 that sold out was the slim model for $200. Wouldn’t it then make sense that if Sony supplier fewer PS4 Slims for $200 than Nintendo did Switches that the PS4 would sell out quickly.
We know Nintendo ratcheted up production when they saw how popular the switch was. It’s not out of the realm of possibility to see piles of Switches and sold out $200 PS4’s and have Nintendo still sell more.
What's with this fascination with a product being sold out? Does it have to be sold out in order to be a success?
Ha! Not to take anything away from the Switch. but no one noticed that the Adobe report was based on predictions. Besides, it's not like there were $199 PS4s available online to go up against it. It owned the Switch pretty soundly on Amazon when it was available. Also not to mention that Cyber Monday doesn't count toward NPD since the Nov date ended the day after Black Friday.
bu..but...PS4 bestest black friday eva!!! :(
what is this??
In your face @techhog89
This only counts online and has spotty accuracy. You'll see soon that PS4 won NPD, followed by XB1, then Switch, then SNES Classic, and finally 3DS.
LOL, keep on denying it!
Switch beat out a 4 year old console and you're celebraating. Pathetic. LOL
I mean, to be fair this is PS4's peak year. The idea that monthly sales go down as more people own the console is a myth. Launch year is rarely the best year for a console.
Wait, I'm a bit confused. Did the Switch even have any Black Friday deals or was it at its regular price? Are we saying the Switch won Black Friday over actual Black Friday deals?
there were no switch deals. the belief right now is that switch sold the most and without any deals at all. which if true is very impressive. considering the ww2/battlefront custom ps4's and the 199$ ps4.
xbox also had a 190$ S and the launch month of the X.
we are just waiting on NPD for confirmation.

Yeah, that's really what's stupefying me right now. You MEAN TO SAY, the competition had amazing Black Friday deals, Switch had none of that, yet it STILL beat the deals?
WHAT THE ACTUAL ****.
@jaydan: we already know it beat them online - but the hold-out data is in-store purchases. I... I don't any people who bother with in-store shopping on BF due to valuing their lives. But obviously some people go in. I'm quite skeptical the sales landscape will change dramatically when the physical sales are counted, but you never know.
