The Order 1886's presentation was underwhelming...

1.5-second long gameplay snippets (showing mostly footage we've already seen and very little of it at that, as if the game still wasn't finished/polished enough) interspersed with non-interactive sequences from the game itself or cutscenes...It doesn't ooze with confidence even if the promise itself is cool *

* don't bash me for being biased, that bit with a mutating guy shows that the game might be fun if the horror element is done right, because just like in Alien-related games, shooting humans is no fun...

my standards for order 1886 were at rock bottom. so the presentation was a small step up. still, not bothering with this shit. and i'm a sony fanboy.

It does look pretty underwhelming tbh. I actually laughed when I saw how much "gameplay" was shown in the trailer. Like literally a whole 5-10 seconds worth, maybe even less.

My fears for this game came true... This will be more linear and as short as CoD. If that's the case im skipping this game with no regrets.

Meh, Cows dont like multiplats (PS4/Youtube) so they wont be too fond of this game.

I thought people here only cared about graphics. It should be the best game at system wars since it looks near CGI.

If the mechanics/gunplay, enemy AI, and level design are more than decent, then I doubt cutscenes (something around 90% of games are guilty of nowadays) will ruin it. That said, time will tell.

looks too scripted but then i watched gamespot live on stage thing and the devs said that was the first encounter with the warewolves so they wanted to introduce them in a scripted manner. there are more open combat stuff in game but they dont want to show that stuff yet because its still 8 months to release so they dont want to blow their load

Still looks great to me. It's not what they showed, it's how long they had in the conference which was not very long at all o.O. I was surprised that that's all we saw from it but remembered it is a very early 2015 title now so there's always gamescom, TGS or even the shitty VGXs. I would have traded for more The Order with some of the shitty 30minutes of fail or Layden's speech.

Graphically looks bananas, but just you know not very fun. Hope that delay is to dial down on quick time events and pressing triangle to live moments because right now that art team is going to waste.

Not even close IMO. I haven't played Ryse (doesn't seem to be good anyway) but if you look at any gameplay video, you can see lots of areas where you can move around, fight enemies adn all that stuff for minutes without being cut off by a cutscene. That's how most linear games work.

In The Order's presentation video, to say that was scprited is not even funny. There's almost no necessary input from the player. Most of the time was in cutscenes.

Rental? If the majority of the game plays like that, you can, quite litearlly, just watch a playthrought on Youtube and enjoy it just fine.

The Order doesn't look good and I've been saying this since the very first time the game was unveiled. I like cinematic games but this looks like how Team Ninja ruined Ninja Gaiden 3 with QTE's mid through combos but in The Order's case it's a bunch of very quick cinematic events mid through the shooting.

Really? Sunset Overdrive looked far superior to this game and Scalebound will also be of high quality due to the development team behind it. "Crap exclusives" LOL! Don't be that obviously biased, or are Insomniac and Platinum games conveniently bad all of a sudden.

I have to agree with you. And I'm actually kind of hyped for this one. Its got an RE4 vibe to it that I like. Time will tell. I'm hoping its good. Never want games to be mediocre or bad.

There has only been 2 gameplay footage's of this game and you all seem to have it completely figured out. How about we wait until we have more information?

I was the opposite as it as the only game I was truly wanting to buy a PS4 to play. While the graphics are incredible, the gameplay was pathetic and I don't play games to stare at pixels and rage about textures. If the game is no good I don't give a flying **** how great it looks. The Order's gameplay trailers/demo did not impress at all. I'm hoping the devs can change my mind closer to launch cause the atmosphere, settings, and graphics are all top notch.

I loved it and already ordered the CE. :D

I admit Sunset overdrive looks interesting but still it seems like an infamous copycat.

But I would rather have something like the Order as an exclusive though.

My fiance and I are MOST excited for this game.
