Balance, this was what made the original such an amazing game....

every unit was very cool and usefull to use, but none was ever overpowering in any way.

the 3 sides are also completly unique...and all the units serve their own roles on the battlefield.

Its also made by blizzard.

It'll sell like gangbusters if it's exactly what you describe. Hell, I'll preorder if that's true. I still play the original once in awhile, but it's hard to look at 640x480 these days.

Quite simply, the gameplay is timeless. It will always be fun. The same way SFII, Tetris, and Chess will always be fun.

CSS was only a graphical update...SC2 adds a lot of new units, strategies...etc...if it has the balance that SC did...than people will move.

CSS was only a graphical update...SC2 adds a lot of new units, strategies...etc...if it has the balance that SC did...than people will move.

It depends on how different SC2 is from SC because many didn't like CSS because it was so different from CS but if SC2 can strike that perfect balance between changing things and remaining true to the original it will be one of if not the biggest game this year. Knowing Blizzard SC2 is poised to do just that.

What is it going to prove? There is a bunch of people who don't care about RTS at all, me included. For me Starcraft 2 is equal to zero, same about WoW.
