Also, I just want to say to you all, thanks for actually making this a hype thread. A lot of these threads on System Wars aren't 'hype' threads anymore, they're threads for people to fight, bicker, argue, downplay hype, and so on. This thread has been wonderful, however- we've all been excited, anticipating the game, discussed every small thing, getting excited when our cards are charged, or a new image is revealed, or at simple sentences in previews. It's like being kids again- it's amazing and wonderful. That's the true meaning of hype, and we all got to do it together. So, here's to probably the first in ages (and last for a very long time) true hype thread in System Wars.
Had to bring it back old school style for Zelda. I never hype any more but it's Zelda and a special occasion plus damn does it look impressive and fun to play.
In the end it doesn't matter ehst the reviews say, it's does this game appeal to me and would I enjoy playing it are all that really matter.
Which is why as hyped as I am for Zelda, snipperclips might be the funniest game in the switch launch library. Since I'll be playing it with my wife or daughter. Same goes for Bomberman R which I've decided to get now after watching a little bit and throwing it by the wife.
Don't think I've been this excited for a console launch since the Snes and I was 6 then. Lmao

@charizard1605: Yeah, a bug... unless the game drops the resolution down to 720p in handheld mode instead of downscaling from 900p thus improving the framerate.
@m_machine024: Watch gamexplain's video, the grass seems to bring the framerate down when the game is running in docked mode. There's A LOT of grass in this game, I'd imagine it would be a big problem if the game started always chugging when you walk over grass. This can't be the case though, or we would have heard about this issue way earlier. Worth noting though imo.
If this game scores a 10 here I'll buy a Switch on friday.

I'll be genuinely happy, I'm still going to hold off for a bit, till a library of games is developed and the system has a few updates to improve. Lessons learned from PS4/X1. Not bad to get a launch, but I'm so buried in games, I'm not starved.

Just saw the vid. I had in mind bigger framerate drops than that but yea, side by side there's a difference. Weird tho... I watched/listened many impressions and what I told you is basically what everyone said. Maybe with the Switch version on its own, drops aren't noticeable much? :/ Dunno.
From all the 20+ vids I've watched :P, I personally think draw distance is a bigger issue. Not on gameplay, sure but it's a lot more noticeable to me.
It's getting close. I've pre-ordered the Switch and the game at different stores. One of them usually lets me "pick up the goods" the evening before release day, the other is a hit or miss in that case... fingers crossed.
I can pick my switch and copy of Zelda up in 27 hours at a midnight launch if I want to be wrecked for work on Friday. That means one sleep to go for me, tonight, then Switch time. I'm contemplating running to the store in work hours and picking it up though, so I can sleep Thursday night and work Friday not feeling wrecked. I live in New Zealand and am getting old for all nighters.

I take off E3 every year but at this moment I've got far too much work to do, and my work colleagues wont do any of it, I'm a sucker.

Bros, Famitsu reviews are basically worthless :P That is not to say the game doesnt deserve perfect scores, but if you're gonna place emphasis on a particular review, Famitsu should not be the one you pick dudes.
Quick example: Lair (yes, THAT Lair) got the same overall score as PGR4 (33/40). They also gave FF XIII-2 a perfect score. Sooo...yeah....
Yeah, we should have a MC hype as well. 98 sounds about good (on professional reviews). Sony and MS fanboys will obviously rate it horrible while the game dominates consoles.

It is rare to find a high-profile game score poorly in Famitsu, which is usually below 31/40. It seems that Famsitsu score games based on hype, with the best games with the 40/40 scores.

A GiantBomb, Edge, GS, even IGN review definitely (in terms of the more mainstream outlets) has a lot more worth to what it means compared to something like Famitsu, because they rarely if ever score big games poorly, even if they are actual turds, like anything FFXIII or Lair.

Basically, this. If people want to hype their scores, they can, but they should be aware of what they actually do :P
@charizard1605: True, but not all passthrough is created equal. I've bought some cheaper ones that have diminished visual fidelity pretty significantly, but not anything in terms of hampering performance, of course.
@charizard1605: Yup, looking like it'll be a clean sweep (TLOU am cry). It'll be weird having a GOTY game release in March lol Usually the games that release later down the year seem to dominate, but this year it's looking like it's already decided. Of course we'll also get a new 3D Mario (assuming no delays)..... 2017 man. Crazy year and we've barely started.
@charizard1605: This is the reason. the magizine scores released already and a few that have been hinted at plus the places the first few scores are from.
So, I bought my Switch online at Gamestop. Does anyone know how punctual their normal shipping is for games and hardware? Should I not expect my Switch to get here on Friday since I didn't shell out for expedited shipping or am I alright?
I reserved my copy of the game at an actual store.
With the few things I have ordered from GameStop I have always received them on launch day or the next mailing day. I ordered the BotW limited or whatever edition, without the statue, and no word on it shipping yet.
I did just now get notice my Switch console was shipped by Best Buy but my regular edition of BotW from Best Buy has not shipped yet.
