Not so much original story but just more original stuff in general. Like they played out exact scenes and scenarios from the game more or less. Though I guess you could argue that's what tributes do. 

Joel was fine for me because Joel was always just quiet and didn't say much but Ellie had a TONNE of personality in the game that wasn't captured well here.Joel DID need to sound more Texan though

Translation: They needed more money.

More money wouldn't help much towards the stuff I had issues with. Bad camera work will always be present regardless of money, maybe if they had the money to hire better actors or something? It still wouldn't have made it more original.

I sound really negative towards it but I'm not, I actually enjoyed it and watched it all and it's still a LOT better than what I could do

That was awful and laughable, like most of these fan made movies are. Ellie should have definitely had a better actress.

Pretty good for a fan film :).
