The gap between Xbox And PC’s HDR Support keeps on growing

@that_old_guy: I disagree, a good mid-range LED 4K TV can also display some nice HDR. I definitely notice the difference on my KS8000, but needs to be well calibrated. I am sure OLED has the overall better picture quality and contrast, but that does not mean you cannot enjoy HDR without an OLED.

Other than making games super bright, hdr is not that amazing. I mean we been gaming for years without hdr and all is fine

@Alucard_Prime: I bought the KS8000 and had it a year before I bought my OLED.

The KS8000 is one of the best all around TV’s that year and even the next.

I’ll say that if you don’t have an OLED but have a KS8000 then yes you’re still going to get good HDR...probably one of the best non OLED.

But believe when I say there is a clear difference in OLED.

Actually that's an interesting comment about the market.

A lot of older games are still getting the lions share of revenue. LoL, Dota 2 and such.

While new games, and specifically console exclusive new games certainly drive the market for things like the PS4, it doesn't seem entirely the same for PC. I am thinking there are quite a few people with PC's who really only have one to play a few games and not much else. I am thinking the two MOBA's mentioned and probably some MMO's, WoW for example.

RDR2 isn’t out yet. It’s a huge game. But it hasn’t impacted gaming in any way.

Half Life 2 impacted games....but we’ve moved on since then and it’s impact is less and less felt the farther we go into the new.

@zaryia: If a multiplat has HDR on the X but not on PC, I'd say it looks better on the X since X basically uses high settings. Then again, the fps debate is always going to favor PC.

Even if that was true, which it's not, that's a small % of games this gen.

Oh and it's not true. Witcher 3 has HDR, and DF (on top of simple screenshot evidence) declared it still better on PC. And that's not even using mods.

X games don't all use high settings. Most X games look better on PC, and have lower settings here and there. Most of which are more noticeable than HDR.
