The Elder Scrolls 6 or Final Fantasy 16 - which game are you more hyped for?

I'm looking forward to both but honestly what is the hype for TES6? We haven't seen or heard a thing.

I want to see ES made by Obsidian. I know they're making their own ES, but ES6 with their writing could be pretty darn great.

TES hands down. I am not interested in FFXIV single player edition.

Well. Considering how miserable FF games have made me in "recent" installments all the way back to X, I'll go TES6. However, TES has a looot to prove and I don't think they can do it. We shall see.

Definitely Elder Scrolls 6. FF15 was fun. But Elder Scrolls is top tier gaming.

Final Fantasy obviously. I think right now we are in a toxic relationship though I kept coming back even though the recent offerings has not live up to standards.

More excited to get my Series X if that's what you are asking.

Skyrim is the only TES game i ever played. And tbh i didn't like it that much. Got disappointed with FFXV but im giving XVI a chance

Not hyped for either, but at least interested in seeing how FF16 goes. It's in capable hands, we've actually seen some gameplay, and the gameplay looks good. With the talent behind the game, would take some real missteps to shit the bed on this one.

Honestly never thought I'd be interested in a FF game again, but here we are. Looks like they finally said screw it, if we're going to have action based combat we're going to do it properly.

I'm guessing TES6 will be more in line with expectation. Largely the same, maybe streamlined even further, but will provide a bigger and prettier base canvas for modders to craft something out of.

The appeal of these games couldn't be more different, no point in dunking on TES combat when that's not why people play those games. But they are both ARPGs and on the combat front it's looking like FF16 will be in a whole other league.

So yeah, for now it's soundly FF16. Maybe TES6 gameplay will surprise, but big doubt.

Final Fantasy 16 and to be honest, I'm satisfied with Skyrim as it is and TES6, don't care for it and the only Bethesda game I'm far more interested is Starfield.

I mean, outside of production values it's arguably the most inconsistent franchise in gaming lol. Constantly juggled around by different teams, directors, producers, always trying to reinvent the wheel for better or worse.

But I do think this is one of those stars aligning moments. Grateful that a lot of the old SE hacks leads are stuck on FFVII Remake, or this might not have happened.

In Elder Scrolls game, I am allowed to play as a grown man. I don't have to be an angsty emo teenager. I do not understand who FF is trying to market their games to. The last good one they made, X, the people who played it are all in their 30s now and do not identify well with the characters they've been giving us.

I’m excited for both! Each has its own niche to fill and I’ll gladly play through both when they launch.

Wasn’t feeling the acting in the FF trailer, but enthused that it’s the FFXIV crew getting a crack at the mainline entries.

Elder scrolls 6 everything about the worlds of elder scrolls games are epic I think I'm over FF series as a whole.

FFXV is such gutter trash that it's difficult for me to get excited for XVI.

FF16 is being done by the team behind FF14, which is a better game than Skyrim. So FF16 should end up being a better game than TES6.

I don't know about you but BoTW was probably the greatest rpg of all time as far as I'm concerned. I loved everything about it. Very rarely do I play a game and say to myself "I don't want this to end" but BoTW was one of those. I can't wait to see what the sequel brings but one thing I do know is that it's going to be amazing. Elder Fantasy XX couldn't touch it lol

I honestly don't care much for either but, I'd say FF considering I haven't played an Elder Scrolls game in a while.

FFXVI is made by XIV devs and DMC devs, FFXIV is the best FF game since 9, and DMC has some of the best melee combat in the gaming industry.

The only question is, is Natsuko Ishikawa involved? She wrote the Dark Knight questline and Shadowbringers.

Bethesda's game design is just outdated.

The only reason to play Elder Scrolls is for mods basically. So yea, that, on a steep discount.

Bethesda will probably attempt to take their monetization even further with stiffer control, I suspect.

Zelda BoTW has been one of my top games of all times, pretty much the ultimate Zelda game in many respects. It has its shortcomings though which I'm hoping get addressed in the sequel (story not totally fleshed out, dungeons all looking similar). I would argue Witcher 3 is better at being an RPG though, if you haven't played it I highly recommend.

Tough call as I’m probably looking forward to both about equally.

Final Fantasy games have gone so far down hill for the longest time, so Elder Scrolls wins this. Not even close.

My experiences and thoughts -

• I tried Skyrim and didn't like it.
• I tried Final Fantasy XV as my first FF , and I liked it and beat it.
• I beat and enjoyed FF VII remake and I'm down for the next one barring a disaster
• FF XVI looks like a mix of DMC , FF , The Witcher ... I'm interested.
• Elder Scrolls 6 ? Not much to go on.
