The conduit vs 360 graphics comparison!

Hey have you all seen the new screens and video at IGN. ITS AWSOME and shows that this game will produce awsome visuals by the time it releases (it already is now). Anyways ................. High voltage stated that the game would look like a early xbox 360 game so in this thread i want to put this theory to the test (take note the screens are still really early).

The Conduit vs Perfect dark, half life 2 (pc), and halo 3 (even though it isnt an early shooter

PISTOLS!! and hands (also with the conduit pic notice the smoke coming up from the shot of alien gun. that shows that the developers are putting alot of extra effort info the effects and such , for it looks really good!)

(perfect dark doesnt really have alien weapons according to the screens) so i just picked a big gun.

I think it comes close, but it still looks worse than even the first games.

Halo 3 slaughters it.

Perfect Dark Zero and Halo 3 have much better lighting and texture then the conduit, I don't even know why there is need for a comparison.

The gun model and NPC model are good for the Wii, the textures in the ground and wall are pretty bland.

Everyone knows that the 360 and PS3 are capable of producing visuals that blow the Wii way out of the water. Visuals are not the reason we buy a Wii, so a comparison like this is completely pointless.

The Conduit, admittedly, holds a little potential, and the character models show a lot of polish. If HVS get the bland backgrounds sorted out, and somehow make the tired old story not suck, then they may be onto something. But it will never look like a 360 game in motion.

TC, answer something for me. You've seen how those 360 games look in motion I assume right? If so, why on earth do you post pics that you KNOW don't accurately depict how a game looks in motion in effort to make people actually think that the conduit looks better than it.ice144

Well HL2 is a last gen game and it certainly doesnt look better than HL3 or PDZ.... yet. But, the game does have untill march 2k9 to polish. If it can go from this in april

Yup... its a pretty bad comparison... Nothing on the Wii can approach the graphics of the PS3 and 360 hits. Mass Effect, Halo 3 (lighting wow) Uncharted, Gears of War, MGS4 beat any single game on the Wii brutally.

The whole perpose of this thread isnt to try and diss xbox or ps3 graphics. Those two systems will absolutely blow the wii out of the water in the graphics department. What im trying to do is explain that High Voltage might actually reach their goal of making the conduit as good as early xbox 360 games. I put in halo 3 to show that the conduit by no means matches the prowess of late xbox 360 games, but is quite close to something like perfect dark or hl2 on the pc (a very good looking game for its time). The conduit still has 9 months of development and seen by the massive increase of the graphics im sure it will look fabulous by that time.

Which alien? because there are several types as you would expect, and the latest screens all show the aliens to have quite impressive textures much improved from the last batch we received.

I just booted up Perfect Dark Zero again and I must saying this isn't even coming close, he had to be searching hard for bad screens. PDZ environment still holds up pretty well to this day, the characters are poopy though.

Ive said it before and I'll say it again. Metriod Prime 3 looks better than conduit.

WHY THE HELL DONT YOU GUYS UNDERSTAND!!!!!! obvcourse the conduit does not compare to awsome 360 and ps3 games like gears of war and mgs4 IM NOT SAYING IT DOES!! what im saying is it may just reach its goal at looking like a low-end 360 title! geez! you guys are way too defensive you see a wii title that looks good so all you can do is say ............ oh well Gears of war is better! thats obvious. Just break down your wall that you have blocked up against the wii and realize that it can pull off some pretty awsome graphics with good development.

Oh and by the way i didnt go searching for bad pics of the game, I searched for ones that would match what i was trying to show (such as pistols, aliens, or whatever) I would have liked to compare more perfect dark but the pics just didnt match those category's.

By using hl2 as a comparison i was just showing that the wii can outdo anything that was done on the PC last gen (because alot of ppl are saying that it doesn't look near as good as some last gen games)

QFT. It still looks great for a Wii game and nice art style I guess. I'm hyped for it. : )
