It's an educational software where you build some gizmos out of cardboard to interact with the switch.... oh, and it costs 80 dollars.

Starts at 70. STEM is very popular right now with parents for their kids. A lot of money there.

Uh huh, you know nothing about it and can now assess it's value from a lame description.
While we're at it, Sony is charging $59.99 for a dad baby sitting simulator where you sometimes hack at things.

Experiments always comes with flaws.
Meanwhile, Sony has polished their formula until it sparkles n shines so bright it blinds all critics with a trip to Norway.
Either way, naming a price, and then reducing a product to its simplest description is system wars fodder, and stupid.

There's Norway those critics were biased and paid off with a free trip.
Edit: Damnit I took the bait. Those aren't labo kits are they? For a second I thought your employer was actually being cool lol.

This is system wars, what else should we do?

Can't fool me kiddo. I'm playing GOW and it does every annoying thing modern games do these days. Can't even have a good story to make up for it. I can see why Gamespot didn't bestow it with a 10.

True...
@Bread_or_Decide: can you provide any proof that this trip had influence whatsoever on the score?
I have absolutely zero proof. Only speculation based on what I perceive to be inflated scores on an incredibly average game with so many little annoyances I can't imagine anyone giving this a 9 let alone a 10. My only answer is this trip got them so excited and hyped they already went into the game with their endorphins on blast.

Sure sure sure.. Keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better!!
Why are we talking about GOW in a Nintendo Labo thread? Is it that forgettable and uninteresting?
I guess he is a big Nintendo fanboy and he is having a meltdown here!
....Wait...
Are those just some random cardboard boxes? If so I've got tons of Labo at work.
Sweetie, the ones Nintendo sells are also a bunch of random cardboard boxes... what's the difference?

Nintendo fans having meltdowns just like the lems... kinda sad that they are at such a low state.

I bet the ones Nintendo sells are expen$ive. I get my Labo from Uline.
I went to a grocery store early in the morning, and the stockers left Nintendo Labo kits all over the place in the aisle. I thought to myself, "Why would they waste all these perfectly good video games?".
Every time you buy something from amazon they send you free Labo as well. I just received 2 free one today. How nice is Amazon.
I actually fell for it OP. ? I really thought those were Labos, it took me a while to read the thread and realize I was getting trolled.

I never thought I'd live long enough to see people getting offended over insulting cardboard... on a video game forum. These people are truly indoctrinated.
@quadknight: well... At least you didn't pay 80 bucks for it... Imagine the sheeps when they got home and realized they were trolled by Nintendo.

? Yea you’re right. I’d be really mad if I spent $80 on cardboard.
@Ant_17: I'm confused... Their mistake was not throwing it away. I mean, it is garbage... So they weren't mistaken at all in thinking it was.

Kinda reafirms my feeling that Nintendo overcharges everything.
Non pack-in pack-in games
Expensive peripherals
Not including chargers for their console (3DS)
Game prices stay very high for a long time
80 bucks for cardboard
@recloud: The top sites start and the rest fall in line like sheep. Anyone who gives GOW a 10 is clinically insane.
@BenjaminBanklin: I think the better question is why gamers are so afraid of Labo.
No one's afraid of Labo. It's just a dumb idea and a ripoff. Gamers should be playing video games, not building box forts.

That's the problem with gamers. They think everything is made for them. What part of Labo is STEM for kids and parents to make together don't you understand? Did someone advertise it to you? Does LABO say on the box, for the most hardcore of gamers? Did I miss that part?
Should things not exist because they aren't for you? It's dumb to YOU, not to everyone else. And believe it or not, your reality is not everyone else's. No one has to conform to what you think or how you see things.
@Bread_or_Decide: I agree with you when you say things are not done with the hardcore crowd in mind and im.glad for that because these people barely spend money on games since they pick one game and stays with it forever.
But I must say Nintendo is the Apple of the gaming industry, it sees itself above the other companies and overprices everything. Labo is cool and all, but it's not worth the asking price.
@Bread_or_Decide: again, do you have any proof to support your thesis?
I have proof that big sites were Norwayed.
Small sites no.
Critics always get too hyped when they get taken to things. Like MGSV and the infamous Konami boot camp. After 40 hours how could they know the rest of the game was a slog.
99% of the time I tend to enjoy the games that score a 9. GOW baffles me at times. I've taken a break from it to play south park and the end is nigh, I don't even miss it. :/

69 ! Cant be a coincidence.
In meanwhile Dad simulator of 95 MC and one of the best games of the generation will cost almost half of its original price in a month or two or a bit more and ... lets see LABOs price in the same timeframe. Then everyone wondering why Playstation brand is way and above all others.
Nintendo is synonym to milkage. Its proven over and over and over again then you have sheep left and right defending this. Insane !
