[QUOTE="A_zombie"][QUOTE="AmyMizuno"][QUOTE="heretrix"][QUOTE="AmyMizuno"]I see your point, I just don't agree with it.I think that a lot of the problems, a lot of the reasons games are the way they are today is because Microsoft is ahead of Sony. This may sound stupid, but developers think they know which way the wind is blowing. Oh gee, guess we should make a bunch of shooters now that Microsoft is ahead. People who have the Xbox love shooters, right?AmyMizuno
How do you account for all of the JRPGs coming out for the 360?
What about the DS and the Wii?
Developers have a choice. You can't blame MS because developers are choosing to develop for them. The Wii is the most popular platform right now, so your theory kind of has a big hole in it...
There are a few good RPGs on the 360, but nothing from Japan has been really groundbreaking. The best JRPG is Eternal Sonata, and I don't think it's all that great. Lost Odyssey is okay, and Blue Dragon is garbage.Microsoft ruined Blue Dragon by getting the Blinx the Cat developers (Artoon) to work on the game. Good games don't come from a third-rate studio on the cheap.
I think this tells a lot about your tastes in games
You gave DoA Extreme Beach Volleyball a 10
I don't think you could understand why I would give that game a 10, but to me, it is a virtual barbie-doll simulator. It's actually very fun dressing up the girls. I like normal games too, but I can't imagine you would experience the game the same way as I.
I would actually say that I am a very level-headed and fair reviewer. After I've spent over 200 hours on Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball, I really couldn't give it anything other than a 10.
Oh believe me, I played the hell out of that game as well due to my teenage angst and I don't see myself giving it a 10 but more of a 5.
