These polls are always stupid. Can anyone say they've actually played a good amount of games from this generation to make a valid judgement on whether or not a game is Game of the Generation? Think about it, this generation started in...2006? Right? 2006? That's seven years ago. Seven years with thousands of different games from all sides including high budget triple A titles and indie gams. Seriously, all that's gonna happen is the most recent game in people's mind (that they liked mind you) will be nominated while other games maybe equal or better than the game that memory serves are left to gather in the dust.

I bet in maybe a year or two there will be a thread talking about how now that we've finally set foot in the new generation let's look back at the previous gen and REALLY name a GOTG game. Pathetic.

lol I won't comment on the latter half there, but as for portal 1 and 2, I wouldnt say perfect, but 2 is close.  2 just needs a bit more to it, mainly in co-op.  i almost gave it a 10 because it was so good.  I gave 1 a 9, though I can see why someone would give it a 9.5 since it wasnt really a full retail game.  Both awesome games, but 2 was just so fleshed out and fun.  And Cave Johnson is frikkin hillarious.
