Yeah I'm still sitting on some good builds. 1080ti in my personal machine, plus I've had my 2080ti work machine at home for almost a year now. Both still great for the resolutions I game at.

Buuuut, yeah would like to upgrade that personal machine. Just no way I'm paying scalper prices for a 3090, shits already expensive enough as is.

Best Of Both Worlds second half is meh.

The idea of Locutus itself never really made much sense. I mean, literally nothing could stop them.

Still think Q Who, where the Borg are mysterious, serving a point to the story beyond "end boss" was better.

Still nowhere near as bad as Voyager, where they were reduced to villain of the week and about as threatening as a box of I can't Believe It's Not Butter.

The follow up though "Family" is excellent. Aside from being an almost wholly unique episode, with a strong emotional payoff, it's a rare case of a reset button not being banned with actual repercussions that feel organic.

They try to repeat it in Star Trek: First Contact where he sounds like a fucking madman, but it's nowhere near as good, and itself, not making much sense.

Found a sealed quantum dream collection on ps4 for 5 bucks! Been wanting to play Detroit for a while

Finally finished Yakuza: Like a Dragon a couple of days ago and had an excellent time with it with the exception of some pretty hard difficulty spikes here and there. Took me about 110 hours for my initial play through. Did most of the stuff but still had a few things left over that I could have done.

Now I can move on to some other games in my backlog. Started playing Control and really digging it so far.

LOL! Here I was thinking Samsung made good products. My damn Q60 lasted all of 14 months before going haywire on me. So addicted to HDR that I had to replace it in a hot minute. Gonna try a Vizio.

While waiting for my tv to arrive, I hooked up my One X to a 720p tv in my bedroom and lol! It looks ok for certain games, but competitive online? oh no. I tried playing Destiny 2 and Rocket League, can't see shit. Players killing me from gawd knows where lol. In RL the ball is so hard to hit because it's like looking through a key hole to play.

The pre-requisites to playing competitive online are so huge these days it's kind of sad. Got to have extremely fast internet, the latest and greatest hardware, a solid monitor or tv, no life friends and a killer sound system. All those things give the player a HUGE advantage and here I was taking it all for granted. ;)

Lol, downloaded streets of rage for my sons and they loving it. They love cheap shooting themselves.

It is amazing how common courtesy is viewed as such a difficult task.

yeah i might give control another go. i did try it a while ago but found the plot to be difficult to follow and i started to lose an understanding of what was going on. can't discount me just being slow on the uptake though. i have read some posts on here about it lately that suggest its worth persevering with. i do fancy giving it another whirl.

alien isolation may have one of the most inappropriate recommended starting difficulties of any game i've played. the keenness of the ai plus the randomness of how the alien works makes me resort to tip toeing about and hiding in cupboards every two mins. also dying a lot. that and the snail's pace at which you move when crouched means progress is slow. novice is looking tempting. or just shelve it
