That artstyle looks obnoxious and so does the level design. If that's the point, fine. Makes me glad I never bothered with them.

Even Star Citizen has a chance of coming out before SSR and SS3.

Night Dive Studios can't even release a HD remaster without completely breaking the games gameplay, not to mention the dumbing down, so I have little hope for this

You have horrible taste and don't really game, as you're pretty much a casual, so that opinion doesn't really carry any relevance whatsoever, sniper.

That demo was horrible. I didn’t even bother finishing it. The only thing I appreciated was the atmosphere and setting of the game. The gameplay sucked.

Never really understood the appeal of maze-like level design. Do you actually think a spaceship would look anything like that in real life? I think developers went a bit crazy with level design around that period when improvements to hardware allowed them to create bigger levels. It's a good thing developers have eased up a bit since then, because it's not like confusing level design is automatically interesting level design.

I agree Bioshock: Infinite sucked, even compared to earlier Bioshock games.

I hope it turns out okay, since System Shock 3 was cancelled.

That's looking rough, and I really dislike the art-style. Hopefully it can be salvaged.

I really liked the more modern rendition.

They scrapped all of this though and went with the new art style, which I absolutely dislike as well. It's just a mish mash of colors smeared everywhere.

@R4gn4r0k: That is drastically more appealing. Man, that's a damn shame. Also, your point about the colours is spot-on... It doesn't bring you into the scene and immerse you, but rather the exact opposite. It's gaudy.

The dev seems to be internally struggling between keeping the original style of the game (which is so old by now and in a different engine) and trying something new.

They tried something new and I honestly quite liked it, but I guess they were too afraid to piss off purists. But I mean, let the purists be pissed off, they can still play the original. It isn't going anywhere. Make something that is appealing for an audience today.

Played the demo, makes an extraordinary job in capturing the spirit of the original.
