Switch wins July NPD! 6 Nintendo games in U.S. top ten its over folks...Fire emblem on fire!

Nintendo dominated the top 10 best selling games of July with a whopping 6 titles on the list. With Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Super Mario Maker 2, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Mario Kart 8, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: Black Order, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wildall finding big success this month.

"Fire Emblem: Three Houses represents the largest launch of a Fire Emblem game in U.S. history, with launch month sales tripling those of the previous best-seller in release month, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. Fire Emblem: Three Houses instantly becomes the second best-selling game in franchise lifetime sales, trailing only Fire Emblem: Awakening.”

It's over folks I mean nintendo won the generation look at all these games they speak for themselves, I haven't turned on my ps4 in good long while.

Sony and Microsoft aren't competing anymore imo. This is a sad sad beatdown.

Congrats to Nintendo. Looks like Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Super Mario Maker 2, and even Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 each did very well. I had a great time with SMM2 myself. Am only a few hours into FE:TH but am enjoying it quite a bit. I’m really hyped for Dragon Quest XI S Definitive Edition next month and am betting it’ll sell quite well also. With the Switch Lite coming out next month it’ll no doubt be a great month again for Nintendo.

I think that's part of it, but I also think that the bigger reason is that Sony and MS aren't releasing any worthwhile games.

WTF with putting "multiple manufactures" when Microsoft is the publisher of Minecraft? Even if someone randomly makes a version for it that isn't actually MS, why put MS.

Fine and dandy, but it's no surprise Switch is doing well. Wait until the new systems come out. That's the true test.

@SolidGame_basic: The new systems won’t sell that well their first year and by the second year Switch will likely be on its way out.

This is what I expect since the next Xbox and PlayStation 5 are coming out next year.

The current Nintendo generation (Switch) has afforded me of saying the following which I haven't said in a while: With the exception of one game I routinely play on the X1 (D2), everything else is now or will be on Switch. I can play Friday the 13th, Doom, Wolfenstein, Ghostbusters, etc.., Switch has plenty of current, past or upcoming games other systems will not have available: LM3, LA, MUA3, AC, etc..,

Switch has turned around the misfortunes of the Wii U days.

It’s pretty impressive where those Nintendo games are placing considering that they are including digital sales for them.

The competition is great. I’m really happy with my Switch. Can’t remember the last time I bought a ps4 game yet every week I have to resist buying multiple Switch games because my library is huge. I just can’t believe games are selling so fast while the Switch install base is still so low. I think they nailed it(even though we all doubted them) by making it a dedicated game system instead of a media player like previous consoles and Xbone/PS4. If you turn on that Switch it’s cuz you wanna play a game and I gotta say I really love that. Thanks to this Sony and Microsoft are both gonna have to step up their game next gen and that’s great for us gamers. ?
