Super Mario Odyssey Famitsu score: 39/40 (10,10,9,10)

The Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu gave Super Mario Odyssey and gave it the near "perfect" score of 39/40 (10,10.9,10).

Flop a 39/40 I was expecting 42/40

What a flop. I still hype it a 10 on GS

I dont doubt the game is good but lolfamitsu. They always give astounding scores to hyped japanese games... remember FF XIII 39/40 or FF XIII-2 40/40? yeah... that magazine is a joke

39/40 is pretty darn good. Yes, BOTW got a solid 40, but this is still impressive.

Nintendo keeps killing it.

What are the categories, in order, that Famitsu scores games on again? I'm looking at this 10/10/9/10 and want to know where the 9 was.

I think it's a score from 4 different reviewers. One gave it a 9/10

Famitsu is notoriously xenophobic, they always over-score Japanese games, not objective in the slightest.

Considering it's Famitsu, this is a gigantic flop.

Jokes aside of the credibility and track record of famitsu i'm sincerely surprised that it didn't get 10/10 or in this case 40/40.

gs will give it a 8/10

A shame Famitsu dropped their elite status after giving 10/10's to games that didn't deserve it.

Oh sugar, it comes out in 10 days. Thought it was coming out next year.

Who the hell gave it a 9? They might as well gave the full 40/40. Not that I care anyway.
