Cool. Hope they port all the Final Fantasy (Specially upcoming VII Remake, FF XV, X/X-2 HD, XII HD, XIII Trilogy) to Switch, as Nintendo gamers are only playing jrpg's as Pokemon, Fire Emblem, Xenoblade for ages now.Time for a sweet change :)

FF needs to stay the fucks away from Switch! This is supposed to be a new golden age for the Nintendo Switch. Square Enix wants FF15 on every platform. They want to milk that franchise for all it's worth. They will bring some version over to the Switch eventually and you can tell SE is hurting for some money and they know the Switch will give'em more money because the Switch is the hottest console on the market.

This could be great depending on what FFs they wnat to bring us over.

They could do something amazing like bring over FFIV-VI with HD sprites (and have the bonus content from all GBA versions), or even remake them with something like project Octopath visuals.

Or they could give us something mega lame like FFXV stuff.

Welllll. Yay for more 3rd party support, of course, but I haven't enjoyed FF in a long time. I'll save my excitement until I see something worth getting excited about. Good to see some of the classic oldies might be coming at least

Honestly I would love Ports of the Playstation Trilogy.

I mean I could just use my Vita, but if they put the Steam Enhancements on there I'd be happy.

@davillain-: yep, they spend so much money on FF15 and it's sad that they're just pushing 15 down on people's throat. They need to focus on Project Octopath and other titles. Also, finish KH3 and FF7 remake

Yup pretty muvh this. FFXV wasn't even well recieved to the point that they think people still care. Maybe they feel differently in Japan idk

I'm liking my Switch so far after I got past Super Mario Odyssey (really that game blew) with Project Octopath demo and aren't they publishing another game as well???

I think they are fine on that front. I'd love a new Final Fantasy game of the sort though and they have some experience with it since they helped create/make Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

I really enjoyed 15 but it's a one and done game, SE treats 15 like an on-going project, when it really isn't. Anyway more games on the switch the better, I wont be buying any of the older games but I guess there's plenty of people out there that like buying the same games mulitple times on every system for the past 20 years.

I really just want FFXIV.

Well for Switch to be having games like FF13 or FF10 is ok . They are games that are very old, already been played from majority of gamers that wanted to play them in the first place, these games are on PC on very low prices as we speak etc ..

So, in short ... to pay a full price or close to that so i can play a 5-10-15 years old game that ive already finished or when i can play the definite version on PC for half price ... no thanks.

EDIT : I cant wait to see some sheep suddenly praise these FF titles they were negative about for ages, will be fun to watch.

I have no hope for Troll Enix on anything Nintendo related after the last few gens (especially after the Wii U).

Probably just old ports though. Considering I just bought FFX & X-2 remasters on the PS4 Christmas sale, it's a good idea. Surely there are lots of people who never finished/ tried them like me.

Yes, the only JRPG's Nintendo gamers play are Pokemon, Fire Emblem, and Xenoblade, nevermind that if it wasn't for the GameCube, we wouldn't have the otherwise Sony centric "Tales of..." series from Namco in this day and age. Let's also apparently forget Shin Megami Tensei is a thing.

I want Square Enix to remake Chrono Trigger, but using the same visual style as Octopath. Chrono Trigger is the only truly great RPG they've ever made.

I don't care for FF15 on the Switch since I have it on the PS4 anyway, so meh. Already played it to be honest. Though I wouldn't mind Final Fantasy being on the Switch. I like Final Fantasy games. I hope they also bring Kingdom Hearts 3 on the Switch as well. Though if not, I'll just get Kingdom Hearts 3 on the PS4 anyway.

Final Fantasy 7 or 15 isn't garbage. Final Fantasy 7 is a WONDERFUL game, and Final Fantasy 15 was actually pretty good. Though I didn't care for 13 much.

I'm excited for the HD remake of Final Fantasy 7, and I hope they do an HD remake for 10.

Please don't compare Nintendo jrpg's to Sony jrpg's. You will feel bad if i start comparing. Its no rocket science Sony got bestest jrpg's across all platforms of all time.

What RPG has Sony actually made? They only published Demon Souls and Bloodborne, where are the other Sony RPG's?

You weren't even being clear, you mention Nintendo's JRPG's and Sony's JRPG's. Also, it's all subjective to say that Sony has all the best RPG's as you never played all of Nintendo's RPG's nor have I played all of the 3rd party games.

That's because you're bias Sony fanboy, who played 5 minutes of the hardest Fire Emblem game ever and say it sucks. Nintendo has a ton of classic RPG's since the NES, only to lose all the support on the N64. Regardless, the N64 aged better than the Playstation in hardware.

I didn't even bother getting FF15 on PS4 and decided to wait for the PC version and now that it's coming to PC, the wait was worth it.

I'm all in for Switch getting more and more 3rd party support, but Nintendo can do without Final Fantasy and SE is showing there desperate for more money then there earning.

Final Fantasy VII & IX, Persona 3 and 4 ,Souls Trilogy, Bloodborne alone destroys every Nintendo jrpg's ( ask majority on this forum yourself or make a poll or a thread). I'm not even mentioning old Square jrpgs as Chrono Cross, Vagrant Story, Xenogears on ps one or PS 2 largest jrpg library.
