YES!!! Finally after years of Street Fighters and Tekkens, The ONLY fighting game franchise I have ever cared about is back! and to top it off its coming to PC! (along with PS4 and Xbox ONE), I haven't been hyped for a game like this in YEARS! will most likely pick it up day 1!
@quadknight: Ivy and Taki?! You seem like someone who can give me a good fight! you got steam?

I never really got into SCV, but im interested in seeing how this one turns out. Love me some soul calibur
Soul Calibur 5 was absolute garbage, please do yourself a favor and play the last good game which was Soul Calibur 3.
Yea I've got Steam and PSN. I plan to buy this on both platforms although I'll probably get it on PSN first because that's where most of my SC friends are.
You're absolutely right about SCV being hot garbage. Easily the worst in the series.
I hope this is more like SC1-3 and from the looks of the trailer it seems that's where it is headed.

GAAAH!! The plight of multi plats! you find someone who likes the same game but has a different platform!
Oh well, it would be great if the game incorporated cross-play (a bit of wishful thinking though, and even if namco decided to put it on I doubt sony would allow it.....)

I'm glad it's coming to Steam though.
:D I plan to buy it and mod the PC version like I did with DOA. It would be nice if we got cross-platform play but I know it won't happen :(
basically all 3D fighting games suck and are for noobs.
it's all about 2D
Wow haha. I am guessing you're saying this because those games aren't on Nintendo's consoles?
This is coming from a hardcore Capcom fan here -- SFIII 3s is one of the best fgs of all time right alongside Super Turbo and Vampire Savior (all 2D), but Tekken has outpaced SF in the depth and quality department. Starting with Tekken 5, Tekken became the premier fighting game series.
EDIT: Arguably Tekken 3, but I'm in the camp consistent with my former statement.
I'm with QuadKnight on buying both for PC/PS4 anyways due to I have lots of friends on PSN and the PC version will be just playing against randoms and for Mods on on my favorite fighter Taki!!!

I did this with Tekken 7 as well, will repeat for Soul Calibur 6. I would also like to try my keyboard in SC6. I've actually been doing well using it to play Bryan Fury in Tekken 7.
Insta-buy. Insta-freaking-buy. This is the only game series ever to seriously tempt me to buy a post-Megadrive console. I bought several fighting games for PC hoping in the back of my mind that Namco were watching. I even insta-bought Tekken 7 with Season Pass just to directly send them a message.
I have, effectively, been waiting over a decade for this game.
@foxhound_fox: I bet you will be even more impressed with the boobs when Ivy is revealed. ? Seeing as Sophitia is still very busty I expect Ivy and Taki to make noses bleed profusely lol.
"SoulCalibur VI retains its 3D weapon-based fighting roots. The 8-Way Run movement system returns, allowing for smooth 3D movement." "Reversal Edge allows characters to clash against each other and follow-up with a powerful counterattack based on their opponent’s actions,"
@GameboyTroy: Thanks for the info bro, it’s looking absolutely fantastic. ? This has shot up to my most anticipated game of 2018 and possibly the whole decade lol.
The fact that it's announced for PC just sounds too good to be true. Considering that Gundam Versus still isn't on PC, I still can't pre-order Ace Combat 7 on PC, and console fans still want AC7 to fail on PC, it probably is.

nah brah i'm cereal.
played tekken on wiiU. saw how noob friendly it was.
saw tons of soul calibur 5 online because i was subbed to some gamer girl who played it religiously. game is horrible.
everything is simplified since you are in a 3d space. i have pokken on switch and its easy time there as well. however the projectile spam in pokken made me rage quit.
@GameboyTroy: Looks pretty good, but too many flash effects, tone it down namco! (or don't, I can always mod it out on PC)

@Dark_sageX: The Xbox version was the best by far, the GC was close, and the ps2 was pretty poor but probably outsold the other two versions by a ton.
Strongly disagree good sir. Gamecube and Xbox performance and graphics wise were very identical, but the GC definitely had the advantage with its controller. It was much more comfortable to use than the Xbox (plus GC had Link whom I favored over Spawn and Heihachi, probabaly because back then I was hyped after seeing that Zelda tech demo for the gamecube lol). The PS2 version was shit though, but yeah probably sold the most, it goes to show that sales doesn't = quality.
@Dark_sageX: The GameCube controller is the WORST by far for fighting games (unless it's Smash Bros), the Xbox controller while not perfect is far better, but still behind the ps2s for fighters.
PS2 version wasn't "shit" lol. Wouldn't have been the tournament standard if it was.
All three versions were just fine though. Basically just came down to controller preference, and of course most people preferred the PS2 controller for FGs.
But let's be real here, if you were serious about controls, you were probably on a arcade stick anyways.
