I can buy 100 games from the GooglePlay store from my Android Phone for the price of an Ouya

I've heard that Ouya might be able to SNES games, that would be the only way I would consider one.

Any Android phone from the last 5 years can emulate Snes games

Besides we all know it's not made to be a direct competitor with the big 3, it's made to be a cheap alternative.

So i think for those of us either sitting around waiting for the next gen PS4 or Xbox or just trying to save some money on costly games.

This $99 Android console would be an interesting change of pace for a while....if not only to kill time until the big boys release theres towards the end of the year....anyone else considering buying one?

I've a phone and a Vita, what would i do with that ?!?

On another note, i have so many ACTUAL games and REA LEXCLSIVES to buy, that those 99$ can go towards 10.000x better things, like Tensei 4 for 3DS, Zelda for 3DS, Bravely Default, Layton Azran, Last of Us, Dark Souls 2 etc

Being that you can side load a lot of the games you want to play and that there will be a lot of emulators made for it running in 1080P, I might consider it. Its a good emulator and Indie game box.

Not sure I will buy one at launch. Might wait for the OUYA exclusive Apps to pile up, before I buy.

Careful,..what you say, over 7 years ago alot of people in here said the Wii would flop and it outsold PS3 and 360 for a few years...."PEOPLE LIKE PAYING LESS".

We still don't know the PS4's and new Xbox's price point, but the Wii-U is already really expensive and not selling well at all.....So no one can predict the fate of the OUYA just yet.

The hardware is what, 2 years old? I could just plug my phone in with an HDMI cord and use a PS3 controller to do what an Ouya does. There's no market for this thing. Not to mention there's under 10 games worth playing and all of them can be played (better) elsewhere. $100 console with a new model every year that has no games is not worth buying, especially when it offers nothing else outside of that.

No thanks. I have far too much of a backlog that I'm not even getting a PS4 or 720 at launch (unless by some miracle I've finished all these games I have by then, or they come with at least 5 games at launch that blow my mind to the point where I just can't say no). So there is no way I'd even consider getting this.

Systems don't sell without marketing. Another thing that doesn't help is that most of its games are mobile games available(right now) to anyone that owns a smartphone, how do you convince them to pick it up?

Quite frankly there were benchmarks released of the Ouya and like every smartphone and tablet released today perfroms better than it..
