Forza 5 = 9, GT6 = 7.
Turn 10 owns Polyphony... again.

Last gen to this gen comparison FTW!
Last gen = Xbox
This gen = Xbox struck first, let's see what the PS4 offers. So far just the better version of NFS
Forza 5 = 9, GT6 = 7.

If you believe that there is no life outside of gamespot yeah...
Micro Transactions suck,only on PS4..hahaha
This may be moot. I am not sure that is the real review.
Oh wait, it is. Whew...
Anyway, I did not actually read it. And, I don't have a problem with micro-transactions, as long as you can also unlock the features through playing the game.
Racing Sim = / = Racing game...
completely different.
Are you saying Forza is not a racing sim? I don't think that is true.
i'm saying both of them are. The title you put was racing series :) I just find racing series to be uhmm more broad than sims, plus GT and Forza feel more like Car sims rather than trying to implement fun races.
forza is so different than GT. thats my opinion. Its like comparing two different shooters (COD vs Battlefield). Theyre shooters but at the end of the day, theyre sooo different.
GT feels more sim like, vs forza is more arcady.
Nothing wrong with either though. A game is a game.
Racing. Meh.
LJS. Meh.
Man your whining is loud. Don't be so butt hurt all the time...what a downer.
Forza appeals to casuals because it comes stocked with training wheels. Without all the assistance, most people wouldn't even buy it because they would actually have to learn to play it. Its sort of like bumper bowling or the Special Olympics. Anybody can compete.

I agree with yea...the only problem is..These games are for sure grinds and in this installment Poly went super cheesy on the race credits. So its takes even longer to get into a car thats actually fun to drive IMO.
I dont mind MT's as long as they don't nerf the normal grinding process, in this case Poly nerfed them so it would attract more MT's. Thats bullshit...
Yeah, for that sort of sim-racing, I think Forza has become the best series, probably since Forza 2. Everything I liked about Gran Turismo has now been picked up (and improved, mostly) by Forza.
That being said, Forza 5 seems to be a bit of a let-down, content-wise. I expect Forza 6 will pick up the slack with more content, the return of the auction house, and maybe, finally, some dynamic lighting environments.
From what I've read about GT6, the answer seems to be a yes. Not only is Forza 5 a superb game in its own right, it crushes Forza 4 imo.....it may have less tracks and cars, but it's just oozing with quality and attention to detail the cars overall handle better and I find that racing online is nearly lag-less, thus the overall game just feels a lot more polished and accessible....this is just a launch title, I don't even want to think about Forza 6 or Horizon 2.
Also, as a side note, the microtransaction thing is being blown out of proportion, because a lot of people I meet online do not even know about Forza rewards,.....just go to the official website, sign in with your Xbox Live ID and claim your Forza rewards....as long as you've played some Forza before, you should get a decent reward....I played Forza 2-4 and Horizon, and I got 6 million$ credits so far free......I will never touch microtransactions in this game.
I don't see how Forza 5 is a better game when it doesn't even have day/night transition driving or wet-weather conditions.
It's about as generic as it can get and it has less features than Forza 4 had.
And it's on the XB1 while GT6 is on the PS3. Shouldn't the standards from current gen be expected on the Next-Gen?
NONETHELESS, Driveclub hasn't been released yet. Let's wait to see how that game turns out before we start placing crowns on any game's head.

Agreed. The track and car list of Forza 5 was weak.

I will admit to that as well, but I will say that what is there is done very well. Definitely a case of quality over quantity. The online is just so much better than previous Forza games, I was supposed to finish DR3 this weekend but instead I spent the entire freaking weekend playing Forza 5 online....never did that with previous Forza titles.

That's the only thing preventing me from buying it.
I'm surprise they both have exact same metascore. Even lemspot say GT has best car physic and amazing car model. Turn 10 still make plastic hot wheel car.
Nope. Opinions but their quite even on metacritic
GTA 4 got a 10 on gs, but is still one the worst games I've played last Generation
Sadly this is true. GT has fallen due to the fact that PD wanted to sit on there asses, and think the game would continue to sell on its legacy alone.
Heck, I would easily recommend Forza 4 over GT5 and 6 respectively.
It kind of is, isn't it?
The prestige of GT has been a contributing reason for high sales of GT lately.
GT5 - 10 million copies sold.
Forza 4 - 4 million copies sold
Forza 3 - 5 million copies sold.
GT owns Forza where it counts.

Do you own polyphony digital? Exactly
GT owns Forza where it counts for polyphony.
Forza owns GT where it counts for gamers.
Every Forza has been better than it's equivalent GT. Polyphony need to sort it out. I adored GT3 on PS2. Sort that shit out.

Wii rapes PS3 and Mario Kart rapes GT so.

GT5 is in the same boat as Diablo 3 wich sold 15M copies on the PC alone, hype was a major factor but after the disapointment and general lackluster critical reception of GT5(considering the expectations) I wouldn´t expect GT6 to sell anywhere near as much as GT5 did. In fact, isn´t it already selling about only 1/5 of GT5 in Europe, the largest market for GT in the first place?
If I had to bet money on it I´d say GT5 was the last, big 10M+ seller the series will see in quite a while,if ever again.

I bet know your life is a downer.
edited for correctness.
I don't think that Sony can catch MS when it comes to racing games. They have them hands down on jRPGs though.
