its just people trying to justify to themselves that they bought the right console. Even if that's true, that's still subjective, but whatever you say. would people really be arguing this much if they had both games? i think not
Did Halo 3 garner higher critical acclaim and have a bigger impact on the gaming community when released (2007)? Yes. Is the Killzone 2 the better shooter today? Yes.
The "Halo Killer" is an awesome idea from a Lem. The word "Killer" (meaning to kill) creates an impossible feat to do because a game is an inanimate object. It's brillant. I like to think it was a Lem who did this. Way to go, good job! ;) If not, ::sigh:: idiot!
are you serious? its all opinions. Anyways I have yet to play the FPS that beats Halo 3. However I tend not to like the realistic shooters I'm more of a sci fi shooter fan

actually.... lets not, even if KZ2 managed to reach that many played games, it still wouldnt matter because HAlo3 will be that much farther ahead by then and besides....

Killzone 2 equals + or - Halo 3 to me. I actually think Resistance 2 is the best FPS on console this generation though therefore to most of you my opinion is worthless
While it did have a better single player, graphics, sound, better firefights, and arguably better multiplayer, it doesn't have the numbers halo 3 had. Either game is a definitive shooter in my eyes. It's all opinions and this is just mine.

They seem determind to prove KZ2>Halo but in every thread it's either unresolved or they've lost the argument. Thus another topic springs up.
COD4 killed Halo3 on 360 for me... spent much more time online on COD4 (got bot versions for PS3 & 360)... as for KZ2 again i am having more fun playing its mp than i did with Halo3 but that comes down to personal taste..
Also KZ2 didnt need to kill Halo3, KZ2 did what it had to which was live up to its hype, it delivered amazing visuals, solid gameplay, a good sp campaign and a great mp experience..Sure its not perfect, no game is but it delivered... Haters just need to move on while fans need to just focus on enjoying the game..

Thats not the general consensus though, the amount of people playing COD4 online never suppased Halo 3, even at its peak.

great sales, does that mean that pokemon is better than both.Ask yourself this: Is Pokemon in the same genre and competing with Halo?
so basically you're saying a gamer should first see how much a game has sold and ONLY buy it cause its selling well???

When we are discussing whether game X is better than game Y we should use valid arguments such as gameplay, story, characters/universe, online, graphics and not sales.. Cause if you truly find Halo3 to be an amazing title, you shouldnt carewhether it sells 2 million or 10 million cause it would still remain the SAME game..

TC, I can see this thread hasn't gone the way you had planned (or hoped). The basic consensus is: 1) Halo 3 has a higher overall score on GameRankings/Metacritic, which combines scores from multiple sources. 2) Halo 3 sold more copies. 3) Halo 3 continues to have more players online to this day (hence the general opinion of users). Now personally, CoD4 trumped Halo 3, and neither has ever been in the same league as TF2, but KZ2 is a great game so just go enjoy and get over bitter feeling towards Halo!
