Nice try but that was hardly what the game centered around, it had far more to it. I knew someone would mention it.

This game seems to be trying to outdo itself in the ludicrous department with each iteration and it's bordering on childish at this stage.

Bordering? It was childish since it's inception. I don't find the game funny at all. It's not smart, it's just like say epic movie, filled with gags.

That's a perfect analogy actually. It's the video game equivalent of " *insert* Movie " or Meet the Spartans or other such crap.

It's a tryhard yet it still falls flat. And it has no right to poke fun at games that actually have a handle on the word "quality".

It's like Carrot Top trying to take the piss out of Billy Connolly.

That trailer was pretty funny. Now if only Saints Row was worth playing. Ah well. Funny and pretty spot-on all the same.

I never found the SR games to be particularly funny. A chuckle on occasion, but it's rarely funny. I do feel like SR2 and 3's attempts to be over the top funny come off as lame a lot of the time. But you know what? Whilst I don't think SR is funny, I do think it's VERY fun. Saints Row 2 is one of the most pure fun experiences of this generation. Not because you could kick people in the balls and not because you could spray poo on everyone(which I should add is by far the worst activity in SR2 so I'm completely dumfounded as to why people mention it so often). It was fun because it just had that classic GTA style open world gameplay. The gameplay was really easy to pick up and play and really entertaining. There was a good variety of activities and missions and loads to do in the open world. Whilst I think SR3 is making the same mistakes of SR2 when it comes to childish unfunny humour, the gameplay has improved greatly and it's just a great advancement for the series. It will be another really fun Saints Row game that will have me hooked for months just like the first two.

Also, not everything has to be as amazing as GTA to be a great game. Just Cause 2 is no GTA, but it offers the same kind of fun SR does and I love it. Not every Action Adventure has to be as good as Zelda to be a great game. Not every 3D platformer has to be as good as Mario Galaxy to be great fun. Saints Row isn't as good as the GTA series. No open world game is. It's still a very, very fun series.

Oh I wish Youtube was available on the computers here at work... Can't wait to watch it when I get back.
