Thanks to PlayStation Plus i finally got the chance to get my hands on Remember Me and i got to say why did this game not do well? or get any hype?

GO BUY IT NOW! and if you are a PS+ member GO DOWNLOAD IT NOW!

Remember Me is an amazing action game that does pretty much everything REALLY good!

Soundtrack and battle music are great, battle and fighting mechanics are very well done, the idea of changing ones mind is seriously well made ( gives this heavy rain+ Inception feeling ), the atmosphere and the futuristic feeling to the game is amazing and an interesting story makes this game worth $60), graphics are really nice and it feeling so realistic to the point where you will constantly ask yourself in this game what if the future turns out to be like in this game?

The only downside for me anyways got to be the healing options as once you can edit the main fighting set with healing you'll constantly heal yourself after every punch :P

9/10 for me

did you play Remember Me? what are your thoughts on it?

Bought it on sale, played it a bit but didn't like it overall.

The art design is great, world and story seems interesting from what I played.

But I hated the gameplay. 1st problem is the amount of tutorials, indicators and icons that hold your hand, e.g. let me the player explore where to jump not put a orange icon at the exact spot.

2nd is the linearity, exacerbated by the hand-holding.

3rd, combat is annoying, having to do combos to use your abilities is not fun, especially if your combo is interrupted which happens alot. Combat also lacks impact.

I may give the game another chance, but what I played left a bitter taste in my mouth.

I like the style, but I find the combat to be absolutely attrocious. It's nothing but poorly animated simplistic combos.

You can sing praise all you want for the game at this point, but it won't change one simple fact.

You didn't pay $60 for the game.

I kind of agree on the aspect of having the game telling you where to jump to is kind of annoying but its not that bad at least not as bad as when you have a new unlock screen that wont go away till you press Select lol

yea give the game another chance and see how it goes.

@JangoWuzHere: That's absolutely irrelevant as to whether he enjoyed a game past it's reputation.

It has potential, but didn't use all of it that well. But it was a nice concept, but used a lot when it comes to the fighting and the memory stuff. It had a very good story. I gave it a 7 in my review

He's the one saying the game was underrated. You have to consider the value of a game near the time of it's release.

@JangoWuzHere: But whether he personally paid full price for it at the time is still irrelevant. Value for money is absolutely an issue but he didn't mention value for money. I've bought plenty of games on sale in my time that I would've paid full price for earlier for one reason or the other. It doesn't mean I wasn't willing to or that they weren't worth it.

I would pay $60 for it though thats how good it is imo but the devs still got the money since with PS+ devs get a small parentage for every download i believe i mean as long as its not a used copy thats what matters assuming the point you were trying to make is supporting the devs by buying it for $60

I enjoyed it and thought it was fairly decent. It could have been a whole lot more though. It needed more combat variation as once you had all your moves unlocked there was only a few combos worth doing. More moves would have given you more freedom to make a wider range of combos and attacks, but as it was only two or three were all that was useful, which after a while was kind of boring.

Wasn't very long either but that seems to be the norm these days.

True, he didn't pay $60 for the game.

He paid $50 to access it for a year. True story.

DIdn't like it at all. The story was mind numbing and a bunch of melodramatic drivel. The combat was just a bunch of repetition and played out combos after a while, though it was cool how it kind of fit in with the music. Platforming was even more dumbed down than an Uncharted game.

The game had a lot of potential though because the art style is really nice as are the overall visuals. But the world is incredibly boxed in. Like seriously linear, I've never felt so confined while playing a game. Showing me all this stuff in the distance all the time but the play area was tiny

This is what everyone criticised it for and it seems to be spot on.

It's not underrated.

I got in on PSN+ and was immediately underwhelmed by it. At some point I'm gonna get into it and play it but so far it has not shown me anything that would keep me going.

It certainly isn't terrible, I've played worse, but I've also played much, much better.

I haven't played it for long, but damn did this game have me rolling my eyes from the moment I started the game. It wasn't like I didn't want to give the game a chance but it just seemed kind of corny, like I was reading a high school sci-fi short story submission. And after all this time and making so many games with voice acting I really don't understand why Capcom can't do a better job with it. The voice acting in their games is always extremely bad.

I'll get it one day. It seemed to have a good story and pretty mediocre gameplay, I'll enjoy it for what it is, though I'll definitely wait for a price drop.

Yeah the intro is atrocious, so much shitty exposition through slow forced walking and comm link chatter. It's really poorly written and acted out, I didn't care in the slightest for what was happening and just wanted to get to the gameplay which was apparently decent and then that was underwhelming too.

I just couldn't connect with the game or enjoy it, I couldn't get passed an hour or two of playing it

I think it was a really solid B tier game. I really enjoyed it a lot. I liked the settings. Combat isn't anything special but has a nice spin on it. Memory re-mixing is an interesting concept but could've been takin further.

Overall I enjoyed it. I'd give it a 7.0/10

I have noticed that TC always goes for style over substance when it comes to games and I bet that's why you like this shllow game since you even like crap like the FF13 Saga.

I played it when it was the free PS+ game, and I didn't mind it. The setting was cool, and the combat grew on me. Not bad.

I played some of it last night, and here are a few of my observations and opinions: The game needed to be on better hardware. Screen tears and low frame rates, poor graphics and technical glitches hold the game back. It feels like a generic Infamous in a way. The characters are meh (I mean who wants Scary Spice as a main character?). I like the combat and customizable combos.

The game looks so damn boring and underwhelming that I'd don't think I'll bother with it even now that it's "free" on PS+.

No, my point was that you can't really call a game underrated when you yourself didn't lay down the financial commitment at release.

No it's not. It's absolutely stunning, but man the combat is mediocre at best, everything is so tight you hardly have room to move, you are so damn limited, so much cheese it's painful...kid xmas, headache tommy, johnny greenteeth, that sequence when the enemy is telling that stupid big bad wolf/little red riding hood story....with such beautiful art direction they couldn't think of better names than kid xmas and edge?...

And worst of all is you can't play for more than 3-4 minutes without being interrupted, you slow down to talk to shia labouf/edge all the time, there are way too many mini cutscenes, the game stopping mid combat to tell you something, constantly ruining any and every possibility of building up some momentum and enjoying the game.

I've heard the story and characters are great, but the gameplay is terribad.

Considering I'm playing Dark Souls right now, if I were to move into a game with bad gameplay, I'd only think very poorly of it.
