Red Dead Redemption 2 inches further to deprived platform

Combine this with the recent not-so-random launcher, it seems pretty evident cowboy man game will be coming to a proper real platform, finally.

Wither it is Epic Exclusive, or even Rockstar Exclusive, who knows, it will be riddled with microtransactions and if you mod it, prepare for suits to be at your door.

Red Dead Redemption 2 rating suggests PC announcement soon

Red Dead Redemption 2 has received a brand new rating from the Australian Classification Board, suggesting the inevitable announcement of RDR2 for PC isn't far away.

The game has received a rating of MA 15+, the exact same as its console versions. Not that it would be any different, Rockstar's games are about as mature as it gets.

While the classification page doesn't detail any particular platforms, it's dated as of 20th August, 11 months after the game's original "multi-platform" classification was made.

There's been a plethora of rumours and hints on the internet throughout the year suggesting the PC announcement was imminent - including the LinkedIn page for one programmer implying he'd worked on the PC version of the game (thanks GamesRadar).

If that clue seems too obscure, consider last week's timely reveal of Rockstar's new game launcher, which had fans speculating was all preparation for the PC release of RDR2.

With the classification now in place, it seems we won't be speculating much longer - and as soon as any official announcements are made, we'll keep you up to date.

I'm good. Played a few hours and sold my PS4 copy.

I'd get it again and play through it in first person on PC, should improve the combat.

I played a bit on X1X, but the performance was shit.

Can't wait to mod it. Hanging around the campfire was fun but the actual game play was shite.

Not trying to downplay or anything but gameplay wise this game is boring as heck. Never passed chapter 3.

I consider it buying PS4 version many times, but alot from what I heard, it's a slow-burn game and requires lots of time to play it then Witcher 3.

Really should be a surprise to absolutely no one. I’m not into PC gaming so I’m happy with my Xbox One version. I’d happily purchase the game again though if they make a version for Scarlett which of course they’ll probably do as well.

Always a no-brainer from the start. GTA V is still selling like hotcakes on Steam to this very day. Rockstar would be mad to not bring it to PC at some point. The question was always "when" rather than "if."

*Shrugs* Never played a Rockstar game, so this doesn't interest me. Good for other people, though.

I have already played it on PS4 but I might double dip. The thought of 60 FPS with mouse and keyboard controls can make the game alot more enjoyable for me aiming with a gamepad will always suck.

Looking forward when it drops. I only played 2 chapters and the performance for consoles was decent at best compared to what my PC can do.

Too many games to play on PC, not to mention alleged-AAA titles have been a constant stream of disappointment for the most part. Why should RDR 2 be any different?

Just like the GTA franchise this game is overrated as hell. It's ok, but not nearly as good as you would think by reading reviews... sickening. It's not even that good of a game in my opinion.. but to each their own.

Same. Sold it after like three hours. I'll eventually play it on PC, however, since I no longer have to subject myself to the godawful aiming of Rockstar's controller Free Aim. I find it so unbelievably dumb that Rockstar expects people to use Soft Lock auto-aim.

@uninspiredcup: I'll have to take your word for it. It might be great compared to the handful of Western games that exist, but even compared to red dead 1 it's garbage. Pretty, with a few cool moments, but garbage.

Screw Red Dead 2....I want the OG Red Dead on pc. Playing it on PS3 was choppy as hell. 2 seems pretty boring and slow to me.

Too bad they didn't release it with the console versions as I would've bought it then. Now I have zero interest.

you should play this game. by far best western game ever made. almost a masterpiece only if it was longer and full fledge game.

seems like they've done work to fix the sluggish movement and responsiveness in the latest patch from the release notes. the layer of treacle they smothered on the controls and the frustrating effect it had on close quarter combat was ultimately too much to persevere with for me, so i bailed out before the end. but with that fixed, different kettle of fish. beta tested on consoles etc

In the end I don't care if hermits get the game, its still SW fodder until its official.

I would be more excited if next Call of juarez get announced instead of RDR2 PC. RDR2 is still typical rockstar game whatever it is.

Neither forza is exclusive and thats all you praise. but games i praise are best to be played on PC with KB/M. they suck on console with controller.

COJ Gunslinger has excellent gunplay or rather say its gunplay is almost like Doom/FEAR. infact imagine playing some old school FPS but in wildwest setting. thats what gunslinger is.

Although COJ bound in blood was also ok but didnot liked it much.

Yea, agree with Davillain, every-time played of these, the characters are dicks, the environments are linear, over-scripted, everything is desaturached like a funeral and commits of mortal sin of a completely forgettable soundtrack, after about 40 minutes want to stop and never come back.

On the other hand, PC has Outlaws, which is a perfect emulation of the Spaghetti Western in Doom format.

Disney should release this on the Switch or some other platform to ensure more than 5 people have played it.

because you played inferior versions that are original and bound in blood. they have extremely unlikable protagonist and dull gameplay. second was seem improved with western setting and visuals but again gunplay was dull.

Try playing the superior and only great one in series. Gunslinger. its like imagine Max payne in wild west. and main character silas greaves is amazing and how he narrate the story.

Performance was the best on the X what the hell you talking about? In 4K too, your PC won't be able to do 4K unless you're all in around $1500 PC.
