So...let me get this straight....Psychonauts 2 currently has an 89 on Opencritic

Despite being a kickstarter budget game and having a small team it outscored Rehash and Clunk Paw Patrol which has an 88?

There's no debate now that Xbox has significantly more talented devs than Playstation does

One looks like a low budget indie title. The other is a graphics king that has triggered many, sheep included.

Ratchet is the kind of quality production MS wouldn't be able to achieve even if they tried REAL hard. Look at their platformers like Recore. Its garbage. Simple as that.

Recore was more fun than Rift though IMO. P2 is also scoring higher than Rift. I loved P1, which scored the same as Rift. Gameplay > instant load map.

Also iirc that kickstarter was messy. Double Fine (read Tim Schafer) is notoriously bad a budgeting and planning. It's good that MS snatched them up for this could have gone the other way left to their own devices.

I expect it to be a lot of fun if it's even half as good as the first game. We'll see.

No, it just means AAA games get more coverage due to their budget and marketing, something most indie games can't. Also most AAA games only has production values to fall back on and if taken away they are pure garbage, so if anything indie games are the ones who are at a disadvantage and high standards to even 'get' the attention of gaming publications.

The FACT is that Psychonauts 2 is a “multiplat” that Aldo appears on the ps. That Xbox drought be having lems way too delusional. If you lems have some patience, y’all games are coming at the end of the year.

It scored a 9 here. Whatever R&C is doing, it is doing it very well.

Considering Ratchet & Clank is a technical and visual dazzler, while Psychonauts is a masterclass in story, humour, writing and imagination, I really don't understand this comparison. They have very different strengths.

Well considering they are both 3d platformers and ratchet also had a full blown movie and stories in game and is funny and has good writing and imagination i see a huge connection between the 2 games.

lol i swear... we're all so desperate for new games that EVEN Psychonauts2 gets a lot of attention. If this game was released on last gen before ps5/x were even released, this thing would've came out, and not even a single thread would've been created on SW. Same applies to The Medium.

This is some twilight zone type shit here. The game is multiplat ffs. Not to mention the game was in production before the acquisition. Did the extra cash help? For sure. But using this game for some kind of pro Xbox, PS ownage breaks all sorts of SW rules.
