PSVR has what, 3% attachment ratio?
Yup, big hit!
As was pointed out, 4.2 million was confirmed sold through March. Sony probably has 5 million PSVR units sold now, if not more.
For the physical sales of a VR title to even compete and beat FIFA, MK11, Forza, GTAV, RDR2 is a big accomplishment. Yes, many of those other games have been out for a long time, and this list doesn't have digital figures, but the "VR IS DEAD" group are still blindsided by this news, judging by the lack of responses.
If VR is dead and barely anyone is using it or cares, Blood & Truth should not have been even in the Top 5 or Top 10 period.

I'm not sure how they're going to become the ND of PSVR with full price games that are only five hours long and have vastly sub par graphics compared to playing natively on screen.
I saw a few reviews that won't recommend it because of what they're charging for a quick action experience and to be fair that's the case with nearly all VR games they are just too short. The ones that aren't are just botched versions of existing games (Skyrim as an i.e.).
I'm not against VR at all I just think people need to do it on PC or wait for PS5 where the hardware will throw its weight behind the actual experience.
Blood & Truth was not $60 anywhere. It was retailing for $40, and most VR games are in the $20-$40 range. There might be some exceptions where the odd one is $60 (I can't remember what Skyrim VR retailed for at launch, but I wouldn't be surprised if Bethesda charged full price back then)
And when you are in VR and the developers do a great job with the art design, voice work and universe building, you can be more immersed than a traditional 2D game with better graphics. You just have to experience it to understand. How many pretty games have we had in 2D that still bored the hell out of us?
In Vader Immortal (on the Quest), you actually feel scared for once in your life, of a towering Darth Vader right next to you. And even a Stormtrooper standing right next to you is intimidating (how often have we looked at those guys as cannon fodder and incompetent jokes?). I never get that from any 2D Star Wars game. And this feeling was accomplished with Quest graphics, a mobile chip. The scale in VR and untethered nature and the immersive 6 degrees of freedom and Touch controllers often surpass what a 2D game can only dream of.
Last of all, you had incredible 2D gaming experiences with far worse graphics in older generations going back decades (PS360Wii era, N64, PS2, Quake, Half Life 2....take your pick). So not sure why you think people in VR cannot have powerful and entertaining experiences with the same visuals you enjoyed not that long ago.
