Interesting if it pans out to be true. The part with UC3 seems a little vague, as I doubt it'll be running PS3 visuals. Though it may possibly be talking about much lower handheld resolutions (naturally), and possibly even less visual effects, though the overall experience would be similar.
Goddamn it Sony, BATTERY LIFE.
I don't have too many good memories of the Game Gear with the AC adapter, don't make the PSP2 like that. >_>
Well running Uncharted 3 will be enough for PS3 but the PSP2 needs to do a lot more than imitate the consoles if it wants to be as successful as a Nintendo handheld, I hope Sony knows this by now.

One of the reasons why I gave up on portable gaming...:( (iPhone doesn't count:P)
Oh no, I could see this lol:
*Buys PSP2 and starts to play the Uncharted game
*Finishes loading the menu screen
*Begins to play
"10% battery life left."
Wesrcks13
Well that's what I go through if I play more than 5 songs of Rock Band on my iPhone.:P

how are you finding the battery life on the 3DS ?. i imagined powering 2 screens, one of which is a 3D display, would be a pretty big strain on the battery. what you getting*shakes head* Why is it sony hasn't figured out why Nintendo kicked there butts in the portable market? Because sony refuses to release games that are actually portable...you know I go out I play a game a few minutes...not I go out...and play a game for an hour or 2...

I'm sure that gives the 3DS a better battery life.Typically, when Sony puts out a new product, it's usually state of the art, especially game systems. So of course the PSP2 is going to roughly be of equivalent power to the PS3. I have no idea why some of you sound surprised.Unnatural101
Yeah the psp puts out ps2 graphics no problem so I think the psp2 should do ps3 type graphics. The only problem is battery life and price.
how much will it cost?
how long will its battery life be?
i'm sure the answers to both of those questions will ultimately be largely undesirable
If the Price is too much I'm waiting till it drops in Price I'm also don't want the Battery life to be bad.how much will it cost?

IF PSP2 can run the game, no one in there right mind would buy one, the battery wouldnt even last a hour

This has nothing to do with "Sony fed BS".....it has to do with experience and observation. PS1 was state of the art when it came out...sorta. PS2 was state of the art when it launched. PSP was the most powerful handheld game system when it launched...it was as powerful as a PS2...more even PS3 was the most powerful game console when it launched....still is. Are you telling me that you don't believe the PSP2 isn't gonna be state of the art and the most powerful handheld ever made with it launches? Really? If you answer yes, then I might suggest that I'm not the one who's in some sort of delusional-denial state.
the hardware gap is too large this gen for a handheld to catchup. im guessing ur one of those ppl who still believes that the PS3 can do 4D & 120fps on two 1080p outputs right?
agreed. Battery life will be amusing :Pi don't want to play Uncharted 3 on a handheld. Would I would like on a handheld is a game that is suited for that form factor.
heretrix
this ^^ if people want to play UC3 they will buy a PS3. Sony have to give the PSP2 it's own identity with it's own software.Goddamn it Sony, BATTERY LIFE.

I don't think we're too far behind, though. The 1.5 Ghz Tri-core Marvell Armada 628, for example, claims 200 million triangles per second. [link] And the rumors floating around claim the PSP2 is a rather large device, with a 5"+ screen...Please Log In to post.
