PS4 makes tones of money for UbiSoft.

According to the Ubisoft's financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2017-18, PS4 sales surged to 44% from 31% in the same quarter last year.

Xbox One sales dropped to 22% from 23%, half down compared to PS4.

The share of PCs dropped from 26% to 21%.

PS4 sales exceeded the combined sales of PC and Xbox for the first time ever.

Well just remember to tell yourself that when Red Dead Redemption, Destiny, Call of Duty, Assassins Creed, or any multiplat you care about is worse on PS4. Every single game shared by both will be better on Xbox. Even those rare times they have the same resolution the Xbox will still have more detailed textures, better assets, better FPS.

I'm sure my eyes will just bleed out from playing in 1440p upscaled to 4K on my PS4 Pro. I love how after 4 years of gaming in 720p now you morons are acting like anything below the checkerboard 4K on the hugs and kisses console is bad.

Anyways, is this a good or bad thing? According to many people here Ubisoft is a greedy company that produces nothing but garbage most of the time. I certainly don't think that, and considering the size of the install base of the XOne vs the PS4, those numbers make sense and XOne is doing just as well overall.

I mean, PS4 is currently the biggest platform out there, in some cases not even PC can touch it, so of course it's going to have more game sales for Ubi than any other platform.

Plus, what does that say about Xbox? They don't have exclusives AND they're not buying multiplats? What are they playing? TV shows?

Xbone has half the sales and half the install base. Honestly though its sales would have been lower.

That being said, the Juggernaut that is the PS4 just cannot be stopped.

@walloftruth: you are incorrect PC has the largest install base, then PS4. Ubisoft 1st quarter runs from April 1st to June 30th. Apparently Wildlands was pretty successful for them even though the game is pretty meh. Rainbow six is good and all but I had that way before this perticular quarter.

In reality the odd one here is PC. You'd expect a system that behind pretty much 2:1 to have half the sales I mean hell even if a game has a 100% attach rate to PS4 and Xbox One, Xbox has half the sales yet it would be an amazing feat.
