Prediction: X360 will win Holiday 2009

That will be my bold prediction based on what I witnessed at Best Buy Rochester, NY this morning at 4 am. I did not see anything relating to the Wii (as I went to the store for a TV and only saw the X360 and PS3 displays placed very near the tv section), but the 360 arcades were relatively flying off the shelves. The 2 game $299 PS3 bundle and 6 game $299 X360 bundle were both receiving attention but not as much as I expected (probably because the majority of the people there were grabbing either ipods or tvs)

Of course it will, with FF13 coming out in Japan for the PS3 and all :roll:

i really can't take anything shadow says seriously anyways. It always comes with huge bias.

LOL. Don't pay Gxgear any mind. PS3 fanboys like him think that they're invincible just because Sony lowered the price & brung out the slim model. Let's not forget that Microsoft can afford to drop the prices of the 360's down to $150 & $250. Once that happens, then what?

If we're going to be admitting things, it should be the fact that 360 probably least likely to come out on top in the last 2 months of '09.

i like the 360 the best. but i think ps3 will win. because it has been a big wanted gift. but parents didnt want to fork over 400-600 bucks the past 2 christmases and now its only 299. plus ps3 has better bundles at almost every store. i just hope the wii doesnt win.that is the worst system any gamer could get.

Based upon precedent, the Xbox 360 has always done exceedingly well during the holidays. Even topping the Wii in 2006 during the holidays--though that was due to Wii shortages. I would be very surprised to see the Xbox 360 sell the least next month, and this month. When the Xbox 360 has nice deals in regards to price, and a new SKU as well that packaged Modern Warfare 2 -- it should see a nice boost. I wouldn't guarantee anything, but I would be surprised to see the PS3 top the Xbox 360.

If the Xbox 360 does outsell the PS3 by a mere 70 or more K, will I be seeing you say the Xbox 360 is dominating the PS3? Please, do answer. It's not a rhetorical. I'm curious.

The 360 might win in North America, but both the Wii and PS3 will beat it worldwide.

i had long speculated that the best buy in rochester ny would be the battle ground where the console sales war of holidays 2009 would be decided.

ill predict the ps3 will sell slightly more worldwide, with the 360 selling more in na and the ps3 beating it out in most other markets including an absolute land slide in japan with the release of ff13. seems to make sense.
