The Vita version was a rough port but it actually came out pretty good after a big patch which fixed the colors among other issues. I got the game on both Vita and ps3 to know the comparison without even watching the video. It was like, I wanna say it had ps2-like graphics on the Vita but the polygonal count is still way too high on the models.

It was bleeding-edge at the time of release, at least for what it was. As a portable device in 2017 Switch's power is above average at best. However, it's still at least 75% of a generational leap over Vita so of course it looks a lot better. A Vita 2 in 2018 would slaughter Switch's portable mode though and match Switch's docked mode.

Edit: And ew, Switch's frame rate is so low in half of the footage. It's not as bad as Vita's, but still... I was thinking of picking this up, but nah. I don't want to play a 20FPS game.

This is in docked mode. The fact that even in docked mode it's behind last-gen is just sad. In portable mode it probably doesn't look much better than the Vita version. There's no reason for anyone to buy this. Switch should stick to exclusives that can at least make it look Wii U-level.

It's not as big, but that doesn't change the fact that this is Switch docked mode that we're looking at, and it's much uglier than PS3 and 360. In portable mode it might look closer to Vita. And then there's the frame rate...

Switch, PS3, and PS4 all look relatively similar, but Switch is clearly the worst of the three by a noticeable amount. You have yet to deny this, so I guess you agree. You're also ignoring the frame rate, which looks to be about 20FPS when anything is happening on screen. That's better than Vita, but who cares how it compares to Vita?

vita is still being sold. behind alleys or on ebay or who knows....

if anyone wants to play RE revelations on the go or on their vita tv or docked on switch i am showing just how huge a leap it is.

as for the ps3 version compared to switch...if you look the ps3 version is also better than the xbox one version.

The PS4 and Xbox One where both considered underwhelming when they launched with HD 7790/HD7850 level GPU's... The Switch is a amazing handheld but damn have you seen Doom on that thing?... They had to create a new video setting called Extra Low to get it to run on it and even then it was 30FPS which it cannot maintain to save its life.

Also did anyone actually buy a Vita?... I owned the original PSP and it apart from loving Daxter it was a dust collector.

Great in comparison to what?... I don't think you understand that some people have other consoles and or PC's and in most cases people who own Nintendo hardware usually do since they miss out on 80-90% of games.

Visual qaulity aside, I can handle low settings... 30FPS that isn't stable?... That makes it bad version of the game. Everything else plays it at 60FPS except the Switch. People who say its great are delusional.

That's what you should really be asking.

You're comparing a console with a 6 year advantage in tech that can also be played as a handheld to a 6 year old portable only console. How petty are you? The Vita port had to battle compression, specs and it had to be neatly packed in a 2.9 Gb file. The task was so overwhelmingly difficult that Capcom had to hire a completely different team to handle the port for the Vita. That's why it came out the way it did.

people who dont care about tech stuff says it plays great. its got an 80 on metacritic so the port is fine for most people.
