Eh. If you've heard stories about how Santa Monica operates, you'd know this is expected. Cory Barlog is one of the most powerful creative directors in the industry, so it's easy for him to take responsibility for things like this.

Just how powerful? Well, I wouldn't go so far as to say everything in a God of War game is Cory Barlog's personal vision - that's a stretch, and not how it works. But I will say this; when you play a God of War game, everything in it, whether you like it or not, was personally given the green light by him.
