PC's #1 game of the all time is a multiplat

This morning I received the newest issue of PC Gamer. Across the cover it reads The 100 Greatest PC Game of All Time, and immediately I thumbed through the issue to see where my favorite games made the list. Or in some cases, rechecking the list to see why a certain game didnt make the list.

Lists like these are always fun to go through and debate with friends/colleagues where they nailed it and where you disagree. Sharing lists like these has always been fun to share on the blog, too. Yes, we know, Morrowind should be higher.

That brings us to the roll call of games in the Bethesda family that made the list, including The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim ranking #1! Amongst PC Gamers Top 100, these games were selected by the magazines editors:

Yeah with Mods on PC and superior everthing, PC version is the way to go. Hopefully on PS4 we get more PC type love in future games like this.

Surprised by all the skyrim hate.

It's a great, incredibly immersive game. I've spent maybe 200 hours playing it, and I'm done with it. I don't think I'll ever go back to it, even with mods, but man, those were some awesome 200 hours. The last 100 or so was spent enjoying community made content too. 

Will be looking forward to the next one.

I wouldn't agree that its #1, but its a different game on PC with mods than it is on consoles (esp the messy PS3 version)blue_hazy_basic

You can make it unrecognizeable graphics-wise, but you still can't change its crappy, incredibly boring gameplay. After Morrowind TES just went downhill.

Skyrim gameplay is just minecraft without the ability to build or dig.

bethesdumb really needs to get on with it and make a decent game for once, it's been a while since morrowind and that was released in 2002.
