Not to get into you guys' argument, but the PS4 isn't running at 1080p (he is), nor does it have all of the AA effects and settings available to it as the PC version.

The PS4 version is, in fact, pushing 633,600 less pixels/frame (XBOne pushing 1.15 million less per frame) before even discussing HBAO, MSAA, FXAA, and other visual quality enhancing options.

And his card was $140. So...yea. He's winning.

difference is with pc you got choice. Play it on ps4 settings and average 60-70fps or play it at better settings and average a very acceptable 45fps ( and that with a $140 gpu )

I know because I went looking to see if it failed on DOSBox that I could just buy a cheap copy and run it that way. You consolites are getting really desperate. Very excellent point. For all the hardware and boasting, unless it's a multiplayer focused game or strategy title the only games taking advantage of pc hardware are console focused game, mostly ports. Thats pc gaming now if you're buying a powerful graphics card, slightly better looking console ports.

Consolites should just accept that their systems are inferior. You guys get exclusives to sweeten the deal which is great and is why I still buy consoles but give it up. They are cheap products. It is what it is. They have good value but you only look foolish when you compare them to pc.

I think of it as someone taking their factory model car to a custom car show and trying to compete. Then turn around and say "but I spent way less on my car then you spent tricking yours out!" You would be laughed out of the show.

You can get two 7970 or a 7990 for under 600 dollars. The "200 dollar" psu can be bought for less than 100.

It's already been mentioned that the devs are using a lower resolution buffer for effects and SSAO vs HBAO. Looking at videos, it's clear the effects aren't set to ultra either.

So I think high is probably right.

A single 7950 even at stock clocks would have been enough to beat a PS4 in how well it runs Battlefield 4. But as far as I know only the PC version supports using a mouse and keyboard with 1:1 movement alongside a game pad and when the steam controller is released I can use that as well. This makes it the superior version for me. Also my PC should be able to maintain higher minimum frame rates more often then the PS4 in 64 player maps especially once mantle is implemented for better control responsiveness. They should have gone with a lower resolution on PS4 to keep it running at 60 fps with as few drops in game play as possible.

I think it was in an IGN video I heard the guy playing it say that the console versions are not ultra quality settings. More like high.

I have a high end PC that I use to post on the forums. I do almost all of my gaming on the PS3 now because it has games that are way more fun to play. I haven't even logged into my Steam account for a month now. I'm pretty sure my PC is better than a lot of PC gamers so it has nothing to do with a lack of upgrading. PC games are just boring and repetitive.
